You won't be able to be one of the front runners in your league right after promoting.

1) Who are your trainees? You should have some 18/19/20 year olds building up to run your team later.
2) More higher priced seats in your arena. Div.III and 0 box seats?
3) Win the games you can, don't get relegated, continue to rake in money, don't go nuts on buying huge salary players if you're not ready to promote anyways.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

2) how can i focus on building seats when the fact is i cant even focus on getting to improve my team. whats the point of getting better arena when i cant sustain a good team to get attendance. im already fretting on the fact when will that exemption end which im newly promoted so i still get sold out home court attendance. coz i cant really compete

Building seats helps you earn more money in the long run, money that you can then use to improve your team. While that, of course, will be of little use now, you'll always be falling further behind as long as your arena is significantly inferior to those of your competitors.

If you're bidding on good, well-rounded players, the bids will generally go well above the 'suggested' range and there will be lots of interested parties dueling it out. The fact that you're getting out-bid on these players could be a sign that you're bidding on the right players as there are lots of slugs out there.

I would just keep searching for bargains, they're out there, and don't get caught in any bidding wars. That's the quickest way to overpay for a player.

Try buying older players. You can find pretty cheap 50k vets.

One more thing. Your arena is full all the time. Increase the ticket prices and you'll get more money from home games >> more money for buying players. I suggest prices of 14, 50, 167 $.

Many people here have good solutions to your problem, here is another.
Take advantage of the promotion bonus you are undoubtedly getting and raise your ticket price a bit.
The team that got you there won't keep you there so identify which starters or players of value you could part with, and use that money along with the promotion bonus to get a couple of good players.
PM me for one last point I will share with you, there are two GMs from my big 8 division already giving you suggestions. :)
