I don't know if you're asking for help or you're just letting us know of your plans? Because if I can comment...they could be much better, but I guess the joy in playing is discovering yourself what works and what doesn't, so I'll refrain from any more comments unless asked.

Thank you for both your honesty and for sharing your master plan. That was some good readin'.

The question is, do you only want to get there and then relegate, or do you want to get there and stay there? First option is faster than second.

One can almost always make more money skating by with a minimal team in a higher league. So promoting as soon as you can within some reasonable guidelines (like always be making more than you are spending, don't buy too many players in decline, etc) is almost always gonna be better.

Also 6 seasons is 18 months... are you really gonna enjoy this game basically doing nothing for a year and a half? Like I believe I told you in the other thread, focus on building a low cost, balanced, salary efficient team and then go from there.

Not that your plan is bad but i think you will eventually simply get bored with your team and your game if you stayed in v league for 5-7 seasons

I also don't wanna be a buzz kill, but even if your roster is under 10k, your league minimum salary is going to be higher than that. So you might as well at least spend up to the minimum and have a shot at winning a couple of games.

And your situation isn't as dire as you think. If you can get together 8 guys (with half-way decent defense and passing and salaries 4k-12k), all you need to do is manage game shape and enthusiasm, and you'll be a competitive D5 team.
