1st im also a new team but luckily ive been on BB before. Don't get the doctor at all, nice to build arena there can never be enough seats, you should replace the level 4 trainer with an level 3 trainer or save up money and get an level 5 trainer for 15k per week but thats not imaginable for me or you so. It's nice that you bought a trainee with that kind of potentail I think he'll need to be trained say until hes... 24.25,or 26 whenever he stops poping like usual but he could be like the teams centerpiece or you could sell him and use some of the money to build your arena. but I think you shouldn't have gotten rid of that 20k player IF you can afford him see me and my team I have a 22k Cnter and an 8k shooting guard and Im still making 67k per week in a V League. But alot of people are gonna come on here and tell you im crazy and wrong but thats because they took the traditional route If you can have 2 50k center and profit 20 or 30k per week then hey its your team!


I think you should try to stay in the Cup as long as possible you get 50k per win so thats good. and should you be gunning for the playoffs or should it be strictly for training...... you should be scouting 1 point per week and try to stay in V league for 3 seasons and use all the points you collected which would be 14x3 which is 42 so that enough for you to interview 21 prospects and the next season( 4th season) you should sell your trainee and build your arena say you got a point guard potential superstar and a center potential allstar you should profit around between 300k and 600k dont get your hopes up though say you got 450k then use 200k and build your arena and then buy a point guard and who is around 29 and has around sensational passing handling and driving to wondrous. then whatever you have left you can spend on shooting guards and small forward with good defense then you can play offense with your Center your gonna be training and then have nice guards to play defense on the perimeter so your Center wont be the whole team.

That's my advice but you can be the stereotypical BB manager and do the old fashioned way

remember 4th season? scout 2pts then yu add 28 pts which gives you 70 pts to scout the entire draft!

The one big question I have is about what my goal should be this season. Should I be gunning for the playoffs, or should the first season strictly be used for training, maybe even playing guys out of position and whatnot, and should I not expect any real success for a few more seasons?

Division 5 is really easy if you want to put in some effort, and judging by the fact that you typed out long post asking for advice that seems reasonable. Manage game shape, try to build a roster of 6k-13k salary players with high secondary skills, be smart about trainees (your main goal should be to make money with them), invest in your stadium. Make sure you are making a good profit every week even if you are trying to promote. It may take a couple seasons but there's no reason you can't make a playoff run your first time. Also because fan support is linked really closely with winning, tanking isn't much (if at all) more profitable than being a decent playoff team as long as you don't overspend on salary.

Appreciate the input guys. Definitely have a better grasp on things now and hopefully can put some suggestions to use.

The most important things you can do right now is train and expand arena. Also win away games to maximize attendance for home games.
