Great news indeed.

1. New Utopia draftees will now have dual citizenship. Utopia players' first nationality will be randomly assigned from each of the countries in BuzzerBeater. The number of draftees from each country is random and varies season by season. Utopia draftees will also be from Utopia and have the same impact on merchandise, etc. as Utopia players previously. These players will have both flags.

But the number of the second citizenships should be equal imo.

In the upcoming Utopia draft, we will randomly assign all Utopia draftees a second nationality. For the Season 54 randomization we gave teams with a lower National Team rank a slightly higher chance to be selected.

BB-Justin wrote this here: (309152.2) It is good of course for the low level NTs. But what about after Season 54? Do they randomizate it based on some logical thoughts every single season? If not, there should be an equality on that. Chance makes no sense.

No idea yet, first thought was to related nationality following users per nation but could be also good to have at least one draftee with the country of the first team too.

I woudn't leave nationality to random cause there are countries with a bunch of users and we may get unfair merchandising bonus due to the fact that there will be more chances to see a drafted playing in a national team one day

Number 4 is a major breakthrough, maybe the biggest structural change ever to be implemented on BB. Luckily a very positive (at least apparently) breakthrough. Can't wait to read more about the details.

Number 2 seems fine, although I think the older the player is he should be sold for way less than 10 times his salary, unless the idea is for those older players not to be bought by anyone and just retire in a less inglorious manner.

I am happy that so many users like number 4 and I believe it might be a good thing, but is there any way to be optional? I am currently 'playing' private league that doesn't count towards training, injuries or revenue and I just don't care about it at all. As the tournament will lack features that makes my experience with the game interesting, I would prefer if there was an option not to participate. Well, there is, of course, always an option not to set lineup and just ignore those games, but I would still prefer not to play at all... On the other hand, if the tournament will bring any in game advantages, like ticket revenue, then I take my words back. :)

1) Good but my Utopian team's accountant still doesn't want to pay for scouting. I may have to put my foot down.

2) That seems like a lot of players at first thought. Is this really a good idea? Might it lead to deflation of transfer prices. Not sure but I think it could be discussed. I may have suggested previously such players should only be available to relatively new teams (non Utopia) but that might be too complex to include.

3) Seems to make sense.

4) Interesting.

The news says it won't count towards training minutes but nothing was said about possible revenues or injuries (if injuries will count I'll hate the new feature).

True that if the new tournament will be some sort of private league it will be useless. Let's hope for the best though.

I find it very difficult to speak of a p2w. The allocation of nationality is random, with an easier chance for NTs who are far down the rankings. However, the nations that benefit from this action are those that have very small player pools (like Barbados, India or Pakistan)

However, as already pointed out here, there is no way to control which nationality the player receives in Utopia. So countries like Barbados, India or Pakistan finally get the chance to play at least at U21 level with five 21yo players in the starting five (or still maybe not). Countries like Poland, Spain or Italy have been able to do this for a long time and yet the balance of power will remain the same as before, only: the gap between strong and weak nations has become minimally smaller.

In any case, it's a good idea and a development in the right direction.
