I know this is early but seeing we can have polls now I thought I would test it out. Don't take it too seriously, this is more test than serious.
The main options are:
1) Same as now.
2) Go to a top 4 final.
3) Go to 14 teams per division - don't know how we would decide which Federation gets 4 teams and which gets 3.
4) Go to 5 divisions - add another 12 teams.
5) Have another entire new Federation - the Zylertrons!
Poll:
What structure would you like to have for season 6?

Top 4 options are pretty simple to vote on, how is 5 Feds going to work though? the whole league would need to be shuffled so how would that work? i.e 2 teams from each fed in a league of 10, 3 teams from each fed in a league of 15, both messing with the length etc...

I do believe the fact that #5 is winning shows that we are a bunch of smartasses.

14 teams per PL with 2 playoff teams. Perfect for the season length, not so perfect for the points ladder.
Say next season the sharks and calamari have an extra team in the West PL, the season after, kevin and guppies with have an extra team in the West PL, then alternate season by season.
West PL
sharks - 4
calamari - 4
kevin - 3
guppies - 3
East PL
sharks - 3
calamari - 3
kevin - 4
guppies - 4
South PL
sharks - 4
calamari - 4
kevin - 3
guppies - 3
North PL
sharks - 3
calamari - 3
kevin - 4
guppies - 4

If we do it that way - THEN there is a good reason to transition to a 1-12 points system for all leagues, because the abnormal numbers from each fed in each league don't matter.

haha you still havent crunched those numbers yet =P
unless you do so, akuma will prove you wrong hahha
I dont see how a team coming first in the East PL can score more points then a team coming last in the West PL. With that 1-12 system, a team getting 1st place in the East is worth 12 points compared to 1 point from the last placed team in the West. That seems plain and simple to me, but I could be fooled by an illusion.
Until you can show me the light and show me the way. I will continue to be ignorant and be fooled.

RabidCamel I understand the maths.
Koop I understand the pychology.
That is why perhaps the current system is the best as it satisfies both needs.

The point differential is the key, not the number of points. I didn't bother crunching the numbers because people said, essentially, "yeah, you're right, but we don't care", so there was no point :)

Is it absolutely necessary that the PL season be the same length as the regular season?
