Last night, we beat the Bahamas at the buzzer 119-116: (76794).
The difference in attitude explains this very close result.
The Bahamians were on fire from the 3-point line (12-24).

Man of the match: Muileki Simelaine, with 37 points (15-28) and 10 rebounds.

Special mention: Umi Mugabe, who scored the 3-pointer at the buzzer!
Umi also became the most capped player in the South African NT (187).

The next game against the Czech Republic promises to be a tough one.

No surprises last night with a 30-point loss to the Czechs: (76854).

While we have only one player whose salary exceeds 200K, all the opposing players are above this symbolic bar. One of their players even has an astronomical salary of 320K.

Man of the match: Muileki Simelaine with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists in 34 minutes.

We'll meet the Philippines next Monday, an opponent not as strong as the Czech Republic, but with a roster far superior to ours.

We were soundly beaten 60-114 by the Philippines yesterday: (76887)
We'll need to bounce back next Monday against Ghana!

We easily beat Ghana 116-67 today, while saving our enthusiasm: (76926).

Man of the match: Ayize Mukomana with 17 points (6-11), 21 rebounds and 3 blocks in 40 minutes.

The results aren't too bad so far: 3W / 3L.

Next Monday, we'll face Malaysia, who won 2 of their 6 games.

We lost 69-100 to Malaysia: (76953)
This team is stronger than its world ranking (#50) suggests.
Our LP offense was locked down by the opposing 2-3 zone, and our 3-2 zone undermined by their LP.
Malaysia also put more into this game than us.
Man of the match: Stephen Buffery with 21 points (9-16), 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
We'll finish with a game against Japan.

Nice win 97-83 over Japan tonight: (77004)
MOTM: Muileki Simelaine who scored 30 points (13-20) and grabbed 13 rebounds.

We finish this consolation tournament with a record of 4W-4L. That's not too bad.
We would have needed one more win to reach the next round, but I think we had a good run.
