That's true, I wish I only had 13k Bleachers and 4k-7k LT. But I will be building my LT up to 5k but it will take a few seasons.

What he said not true becuase i have that exact set up i havent promoted.. lol/// I feel the only thing thats going to get folks out of lower leagues is playing the right tatics and training the right players.. i got greedy and wanted to mass 100k a game which can do and have done this is how got my arena so big which what i read to do early becuas eit cheaper which kind of true :).

Ill say stay away from the greed and try to honeslty win.. Train the player right and to honestly try to win ballgames

ty and yes tickets are kinda high for salary reason moslty .. would ower them but the money so good lmaoo..

I wouldn't agree. There's no point in building a huge arena and then having to set very low prices. You should add seats here and there (I usually use cup revenue to invest in arena expansions), and if you're selling out try raising the prices a bit. 9000 seats at $10 do the same job as 6000 at $15, except the 9000 have cost 600k extra. The money's better spent, other than training, in building a competitive team and promoting, and then higher revenues will follow.


Sorry but I think this is dead wrong. I studied a lot of arenas while I was building mine and the game engine clearly rewards teams with bigger arenas and lower prices rather than smaller arenas with higher prices. So no, I can say with almost 100% certainty that he won't make nearly as much $$$ with 6000 seats at $15 than 9000 seats at $10.

And since everyone needs to expand their arena as they promote through the divisions, I highly recommend that all newcomers allocate $$$ to their arenas before all else. It's a very important investment in their futures.

I'll second that.

If your arena isn't one of the top money earners in your league, all you're doing is falling further and further behind in money. Even if you're tanking with a low salary roster, you're not bringing in as much cash or winning as many games as teams with better rosters and higher salaries.

It's a treat to have a large arena, keep an economical roster, win away games, and bring in 100K-140K a week just because you have a big arena and you put your prices right.

Again, I think I'm not being totally understood. I agreed that building an arena is key in the beginning, to guarantee future revenues. I just thought 450k a year was too much of an expense for a new div. IV team. And my 6000/9000 example is not a linear thing, I was just saying that increasing your arena revenue can be done by other means than adding seats (although in the long run, bla bla bla, you'll want a bigger arena for the top leagues). In the example I tried to give later I was just making the case that investing too much in your arena may kill your chances of promotion, or even get you relegated, and that extra season in an even lower league is a bigger money loss. If option one is 500k spent in the arena and no-promotion/relegation and option 2 is 250k spent in the arena and promotion/no-relegation, than in option 2 you're guaranteed at least an extra 14 weeks of a bigger tv contract. Let's say the difference is 30k a week. Through that season that's an extra 420k, that allows, for instance, for an even bigger arena expansion!

With the new salary floor it is not as easy as 30k/week x 14 weeks.

You are not saving that when you have to have a higher salary roster.

this is my 3rd season in BB. first season i didn`t log in to much because i didn`t know anything about basketball. Then i saw some movies and started to like the game. I invested everything in my arena and focused on training 18-19years players , witch i sold at the end of every season.
Now i have 13k seats and my income is 150$ per week. my league average is 20k :) .Going for a big arena is very good .

I'm still a bit unsure about the ratio of the different kinds of seats.

Starting arena looked like this:
4500 Bleachers --> 90%
450 Lower Tier --> 9%
50 Courtside Seats --> 1%
0 Luxury Boxes --> 0%

My problem is, the bleachers were never sold out for my matches, except for one cup match. All the other seats were completely sold out in every match.
So I decided to upgrade like this (so far, still have money left for further upgrades).

0 Bleachers --> Total 4500 --> 88,97 %
50 Lower Tier --> Total 500 --> 9,89 %
5 Courtside Seats --> Total 55 --> 1,09 %
3 Luxury Boxes --> Total 3 --> 0,06 %

So which ratio should I aim for, in percent for each type of seat?

There's no "correct" ratio to use. Look at the arenas in the division above you.

How many of each seat type do they have?
Are they selling out of one type but not another?

Don't go by cup attendance as you don't get money from fans for those games anyway.
