The schedule for the 2nd round has been published.
We will face the 3 best teams in the first 3 games.
I count on you to keep your players in good shape.
It is very important if we want to reach at least the final.

We started this second round with an 81-93 defeat against Senegal: (67777)
MVP of the game: Fabian Pöll with 15 points (5-11), 9 boards and 4 dimes in 35 minutes.
Once again, the GS of a few key players was not optimal, especially on the wings.
At this level, it makes all the difference.
It will be difficult to reach the final under these conditions.
We will meet Nigeria next Monday.

A 1 point defeat against Nigeria 76-77 that put more in the game, despite a good GDP: (67781).
MVP of the game: Elphus Siamusiye with 22 points (9-20), 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals.

The results so far are below expectations. It's partly my fault. Sorry.
Qualifying for the final will now be very complicated...

We will play against Egypt next Monday.

103-95 W over Egypt tonight: (67783)
MVP of the game: Fabian Pöll with 23 points (11-20), 6 boards and 4 assists in 35 minutes.
There are 2 games left in this 2nd round, before the semifinals.

Difficult W 106-104 over Tunisia who had decided to crunch: (67785)
Tounes looked like the only team trying out there.

MVP of the game: Fabian Pöll who scored 24 points (10-17) and grabbed 12 rebounds.
This choice of Tunisia does not allow us to increase the PA.
No matter the result of the last game vs Ghana next Monday, we will finish 4th.
In the semi-finals, we'll face the winner of the Senegal vs. Nigeria game.

The 2nd round ended with an easy W against Ghana: (67789)
All 12 players were able to score.
MVP of the game: Shafilshuna Machemko who scored more points than he played minutes (27 pts in 24 minutes).

Next Monday, the semi-final will be against Nigeria that hosts the tournament.
I rely on all managers to keep their players in good shape.
If you could train GS next Friday, it would be even better!

Disappointed that I couldn’t get all my guys to 9 GS but the more important two got there. Good luck, Sandy!

Huge surprise in the semi-finals where the first 2 seeds were eliminated!
Egypt beat Senegal 84-83: (68116)
We beat Nigeria 101-91: (68115)
MVP of the game: Elphus Siamusiye with 17 pts (8-13), 5 boards and 4 dimes.
We will be able to defend our crown in the final on Monday evening! :)
