I first tried with my phone, it took me to where the download button SHOULD have been, showed the app and information/early access, yada, yada, yada...but no option to download. It was becuse of that I used my pixelbook and logged in on it and reaccessed the link and downloaded.

When I searched the Play Store on my phone, nothing came up. But if others were able to find it, I will keep trying. I simply logged in on both my phone and pixelbook with the same user/pass login.

Workaround

I followed the link again. Clicked on "Digital Field Theory" to bring up all of your games. Showed Buzzerbeater, clicked on it. Allowed me to download. Strange. But that may help anyone else who may have similar issue.

Just closing the loop. Thank you for your assistance.

If the email address that you put in the signup form is the one that you signed up to BB with, but has nothing to do with your Google Play email, then please signup again with the correct email, it should be working afterwards, maybe you will have to wait a bit for Justin to put you on the list.

I signed up with the correct google play e-mail address. I found an other way to download the app, I opened the link Justin sent me and I putted BB app in my wishlist. Then I opened my google play, found BB app in my wishlist and the download button appeared. I dont know what the problem was but finally I downloaded the app. At first looks fine, well done

I'm not a UX designer, so bear in mind my probable lack of fashion sense. My first thought was something more universally recognized as an edit symbol. Something like this maybe:

Another idea that crossed my mind would be similar to a mugshot silhouette which could be replaced with the players image or something when the position was filled. For lack of a better example:

A marker and clipboard icon might also fit the basketball style, but the other options I mentioned may be either more recognizable or easier to scale.
