With the new salary floor it is not as easy as 30k/week x 14 weeks.

You are not saving that when you have to have a higher salary roster.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

this is my 3rd season in BB. first season i didn`t log in to much because i didn`t know anything about basketball. Then i saw some movies and started to like the game. I invested everything in my arena and focused on training 18-19years players , witch i sold at the end of every season.
Now i have 13k seats and my income is 150$ per week. my league average is 20k :) .Going for a big arena is very good .
210k $ ticket sales Huge arena rules at the beggining

I'm still a bit unsure about the ratio of the different kinds of seats.

Starting arena looked like this:
4500 Bleachers --> 90%
450 Lower Tier --> 9%
50 Courtside Seats --> 1%
0 Luxury Boxes --> 0%

My problem is, the bleachers were never sold out for my matches, except for one cup match. All the other seats were completely sold out in every match.
So I decided to upgrade like this (so far, still have money left for further upgrades).

0 Bleachers --> Total 4500 --> 88,97 %
50 Lower Tier --> Total 500 --> 9,89 %
5 Courtside Seats --> Total 55 --> 1,09 %
3 Luxury Boxes --> Total 3 --> 0,06 %

So which ratio should I aim for, in percent for each type of seat?

There's no "correct" ratio to use. Look at the arenas in the division above you.

How many of each seat type do they have?
Are they selling out of one type but not another?

Don't go by cup attendance as you don't get money from fans for those games anyway.

If you're not selling out your arena, there are 2 solutions. Lower prices in those sections or hire a better PR guy. I would lean towards the 1st solution based on being in a lower division.

Also take note that you don't want to fill each arena section 100%. If you do, you're likley leaving money on the table. 90-95% is about how full you want each section and as soon as you're hitting 100%, you need to either expand that section of your arena and/or raise your prices.

everything is right except courtside....did the cash you used was all the cash you had? If you still had cash to use, you should've built some more court side seats...........don't underestimate the power of those seats, you should always build at least 10 courtside seats an expansion, the sweet spot is 25. always put the most cash possible into building the courtside and lower tier. Look at what I'm doing. After my fire sale I just put all the cash in my court side and lower tier. A LOT of top level teams say they wanted more lower tier. I think you should have a goal in building seats. for this season I think this is a good start:

bleachers: 500
lower tier: 200
courtside: 50-75
lux: 3-4

so far going in the right direction except the lower tier....so build more LT and CS. they'll bring in the most dough.

Thanks a lot.
My first arena upgrade is finished tomorrow, and I've got 210k cash left.
So I'll upgrade a second time with heavy emphasis on LT and CS seats.

Umm, don't be surprised if your arena isn't actually finished tomorrow... ;)

which seats to add to which arena section depends upon the relative payback rate of each section and (of course) setting the correct price as the arena expands

from what I have seen (charts for "correct" price v section size) expanding courtside from 50 to 150 is the only div 5 expansion that gives rapid payback (4 seasons)

in div 4 the following expansion gives payback in 4 seasons - 24 box (24 added), 500 court (350 added, max size), 2240 lower tier (1790 added), 14,750 bleacher (10,250 added)

as seats are added the price has to be decreased to generate more revenue. the only limit in the lower divisions is when the "correct" seat price goes down to min price for that arena section
