If I have an advanced trainer with no specialty, can he train my team good enough?

Yes. Advanced trainers are, in my opinion, the most cost-effective trainers there are. I use them all the time.

There he is! Mon ami français! ;)
This Friday, after I listen to some Rebbecca Black via YouTube, I'll be checking up on Huang's progress. Will discuss your current training plan a little more, as well. Here's to Bob Huang; may he have an abundance of skill pops come friday!

Hail there,
Anticipating, (well, it's 7:16 PM here actually ;c) ) here are the good news :
27/09/2013 Jump Shot for Forwards
...
Bob Huang ↑popped↑ in Jump Shot from respectable to strong .
So pretty good :)
The bad news is, my exceptional (6) trainer is sucking me dry... I ll have to consider replacing him by a more affordable one.. aka superior (5) cause while I did try to find one for like a month and a half, those days, price flied to the sky (as expectable in season start when peeps got tons of $ to send trough the window)
PS: btw, still expecting green light for the US BB site (yeah ! am a Spy ;c) )

how do you guys think this guy is coming along?
I'm training OD right now, going to have it pop one more i think and then switch to passing?
Is that the right corse to take with him or do you guys have other suggestions?

I think you can keep doing what you're doing. After PA, I would train JS or 1v1. If you get bored, maybe you could try training JR or FT. Do you want him to be a PG or SG?

really not sure, i guess maybe i should decide that before i switch to passing. I suppose if i'm going to make him a SG he should have just about enough passing. I feel like with the other players on my team passing would help the most now tho. 2 pops in passing should be good then i really have to make the choice, i was thinking JR what do you think about that?

On average, JR (or Outside Shooting in the training display) takes about 2 weeks to pop. You would also have to play him at SG. I think a pop or two would help him.
