I wasnt too far off. Hawkins dominated too, couldnt have been far away from Norm, missed a few easy ones though.

I had $200 on Selwood for the norm Smith, paying $7 - so close! (He placed second.)

Soooo happy that Geelong won.
I'm a St Kilda supporter normally, and both teams have crushed my dreams in the past couple years, but I just can't hate any other team as much as I hate collingwood.

and T. Hawkins didn't dominate... he's still rubbish, just Ben Reid was still injured and made the Tomahawk look good.

Stevie J and Bartel were phenomenal tho.
my girlfriend had varcoe for first goal kicker but had chapman for norm smith.

Bahaha. Crows hurt them in '97, too.... 5 goals up in the last quarter, then Darren Jarman stepped up to the plate. Was a good day. I was there :D

Luckily for me I only started following AFL and St Kilda FC in 2001. :)
So I can only rue the 3 lost grand finals, and the 10 years of wasted talent.
and the fact Robert Harvey, the greatest AFL player to ever live had to retire without a premiership.
so 97 and all that history means nothing to me. :)
