personally, I'd consider for the NT everyone who would want to play for it, especially if they feel honoured to be part of the NT.
Obviously, it is not that simple and there are multiple factors weighting in to the selection process, how the selection of one player will affect the other selected and also how it will affect the ones that will not be selected because of those selected.

on the other hand, maybe FIBA and other authorities, should limit the number of "naturalised" players in teams just that we do not end up with edge case scenarios of course.

I remember when Spain approached Mirotic asking if he would still play for the national team so they could consider Lorenzo Brown if he won't (he will empty the spot for another naturalised player).

And Again, the two French players you listed are not on the Wikipedia page you linked.


I just mentioned the source where I read it, and didn't say the information there is complete...


Well, the facts are those people are French and not naturalized ones for basketball reasons. They would have become waiters or garbage men, they would be French too.

Jokes aside, it is very complicated when it comes to some of the countries as kingK wrote but I didn't follow the advice
