Quinn Kings vs. Persepolis Immortals 76 - 122 ((36141541))

A convincing win by my fellow Calamari. Xerxes dominated the game giving the Kings no chance to recover.

3 - P. Salimi (PI) - Solid performance. Good scoring, rebounds and assists.
2 - A. Imandosov (PI) - 21 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists in only 26 minutes! Great work!
1 - B. Siffredi (QK) - Top scorer for the Kings. The only real contributor for their team.

Fishbowl North Week Three MVPs Part One

Maggots vs. Geelong Vipers 55 - 92

The Maggots have been tanking for so long now I shudder when I think about how much cash they must have. At least $5,000,000. However in this game it was just the usual skeleton crew that turned up to be poisoned by the Vipers. With the Viper big men Rosales and Cartier dominating the little Maggot bigs there was nothing to this game but a one sided rout.

3 Louie Humphrey Geelong Vipers 23 PTS 5 REB 4 AST 4 STE. What a funny old fellow is Humphrey. He got the Maggots in all manner of strife. Not simply scoring while playing against one of the Maggots future stars but making a great all arund contribution.

2 Sam Rosales Geelong Vipers 17 PTS 10 REB. A $77,000 player in division III would dominate most of his peers, however sadly he is in hospital for the next two weeks making that a little less likely, here he and Cartier controlled the paint the entire match.

1 François Cartier Geelong Vipers 17 PTS 6 REB. Only needed 28 minutes to put his stamp on this game against some feeble opposition.

Brisbane Thunder vs. Warren Bulls 87 - 80

New boy Mattylf took on league comissioner Leeroy in a game that saw some future power teams of our league on show, they are young teams now but some day these two well managed teams can be in the big leagues. While the total domination of the boards by the Thunder gave them a substantial lead early a late push by the Bulls made the score much more respectable. The Bulls will have to get some more serious rebounders if they want to compete in this league.

3 Cristiano Semoni Brisbane Thunder 17 PTS 14 REB 12.0 rating. The "Fro'lad" showed that he was more than a funky haircut by dominating the match with a game high 14 rebounds.

2 Paolo Aloisi Warren Bulls 36 PTS 6 REB. At times it looked like Paolo was the only player in offence for the Bulls as he dominated their scoring and he hit an inpressive 7/15 3 pointers, however in defence he barely tried and ended with an anaemic 7.5 rating.

1 Zafiro Ybarra Careaga Brisbane Thunder 19 PTS 7 AST 8 REB. It was a close call for the 1 vote between ZYC and Ting but with his all around contribution ZYC just scraped into third.

shepparton shooters vs. Hobos 96 - 77

Hot on the heels of their dominant win in their division III championship series the Hobos were looking incredible, until coach Fanny decided to jump into the tank and head to the bank. The Hobo team that played this match was a shadow of their former selves but lead by future U21 prospect Roger McComiskey they made it a vaguely competitive match even winning the 3rd and 4th vs the shepparton bench.

3 Benjamin Journet shepparton shooters 42 PTS. It was a patient offence for the shooters but Journet wasn't patient, when he touched the ball he jacked it up and normally hit. When asked about his opinion of the Hobos he merely replied, "Merde".

2 Roger McComiskey Hobos 27 PTS 10 REB. A great all around performance but when interviewed strangely only said, "I am better than Faka and Garrie put together!" Odd.

1 Junel Viojan shepparton shooters 12 PTS 13 REB 12.0 rating. A quiet night from V-Thrush but he did manage a game high in rebounds and the best match rating.

Fishbowl North Week Three MVPs Part Two

Quinn Kings vs. Skyhook Dreamers 60 - 83

While the Kings played it ultra safe going with base offence and man to man the Dreamers were anything but going with high risk Princeton offence. However it worked like a dream for them repeatedly getting sharpshooter Chan free for 3 pointers which he budied at a very impressive rate. The Dreamers defence was also more like a nightmare for the Kings who hit just 17 shots for the match.

3 David Chan Skyhook Dreamers 29 PTS 7/10 3PTRS 11.5 rating. No-one was stopping Chan this night, driving to the basket, drilling 3s, he was simply on fire!

2 Billy Siffredi Quinn Kings 12 PTS 11 REB 6 STE. 22 NT games including two with the senior NT, 6 all star appreances and a salary of $82,000 means you expect something special and while he had bizarre stats he had some impressive ones. 11 rebounds for a PG is impressive, 0 assists is not.

1 Valentin Robinot Skyhook Dreamers Not great stats but this marvellous defender had the massive job of covering Billy and prevented him from completly cutting lose. He can now be yours for $600,000.

Viral Infections vs. Coin Collectors 100 - 39

100-39, ouch! I think I will do this one "Naker Style". All his players will probably be sold by next week anyway.

3 Yuri Abruzzese Viral Infections

2 Sidónio Conceição Viral Infections

1 Nikos Fouskotidis Viral Infections

TeamAkuma vs. Persepolis Immortals 70 - 84

Akuma had the right tactics to stop the Immortals but probably not the horses. The Immortals pounded the ball inside to Salami and Ali G who stuck it in the hole. Salami was more than a tasty cured meat, his 14.0 match rating was the best for this entire league this week. The Immortals dominating the boards by nearly 20 left Akuma with simply not enough chances to score.

3 Pashang Salimi Persepolis Immortals 24 PTS 14 REB 3 BLK 14.0 rating. All of those stats except the rebounds were match highs, looking at Salami is like looking at "little Smeltz".

2 Darrell Pressley TeamAkuma 14 PTS 13 REB. "The Mountain" had a mountain of a job to try and slow down the Immortals relentless inside attack but at least he made them work.

1 Alibek Imandosov Persepolis Immortals 16 REB. Ali I from Khazakstan when interviewed after the game merely asked this reporter, "You want sexy time?"

Fishbowl North Week Four MVPs

Brisbane Thunder vs. Geelong Vipers 69 - 80 At Maggot Arena.

This is the first game that the FannyPack will award MVP votes for so let's hope no one challenges and makes me look bad!

Thunder led by big man small man Faka came up against THE GLORIOUS Guppy team Vipers. This would have been a no brainer to pick the winner but the fans wanted to see Faka get slapped around. The pitiful Thunder led by lil baby Faka came up short after exploding out early on. They CAME out firin' in the first but kept thinking of sweet sweet KFC and got side tracked and slipped from there. The Vipers went about their business as if it was a training drill.

3 François Cartier Geelong Vipers 19 PTS 14 REB 4 AST 4 STL. Bossed his way to be the main man in this game and takes away the 3 points after teaching those Brisbane noobs who is the boss around here. Even kept that over rated Anfu to some pitiful shooting at 3-11.

2 Stuey Faka’osifolau Brisbane Thunder 21 PTS 2 REB 5 AST 4 STL. Faka only JUST gets the 2 points here because they need some pity points plus Semoni wasn't quite good enough. Still did OK for a noob but won't get away with it again.

1 Louie Humphrey Geelong Vipers 22 PTS 3 REB 2 AST. This lil American chap scurries away with his 1 golden point because everyone else played like poop! His 2 TOs certainly did bring his game down but the next best had 6 TOs so I guess he can take the points home. Semoni was also unlucky to get this point but it was a tough choice so deal with it.

Maggots vs. Quinn Kings 83-103 At Viper Dome.
Aaah oh you Maggots, how far you have fallen, you really need to step it up if you want to win again Losing to the Kings certainly doesn't help your case to earn you a div2 spot again. With only 1 outstanding performer on the team you would hope the Maggots cater for his 'special' needs so he doesn't leave. The King's had 3 great players on the night which got them over the line. Kings only had a few goal lead at HT which would have been disappointing for them and that would have made the coach fire up during the break. The Kings ended up smacking the dirty Maggots by gaining 13 points on them in the last quarter to seal the game. Siffredi unlucky to get some points but in any other game he would have grabbed at least 1.

3 Danielius Speicys Quinn Kings 32 PTS 10 REB 4 AST 1 STL. Probably didn't have the best numbers compared with Brakenhoff but his spirit got his team the win so he earns the 3 points for his heroic efforts after squashing the dirty earth beasts.

2 Christian Brakenhoff Maggots 47 PTS 6 REB 4 AST 1 STL 2 BLK. This was probably one of the most bravest efforts ever committed by a losing team. Racked up a huge number of points but didn't get enough for a win. Should go down in the record books for 'most bravest player'.

1 Pablo Ramírez Quinn Kings 29 PTS 20 REB 1 STL 1 BLK. Very good inside offensive stats from Pablo with great defensive efforts too keeping Pavón to 3-12 FG.

Viral Infections vs. Warren Bulls 133 - 72 At Blue Piggy Bank.
Have you ever just said Warren to amuse yourself? Warren,Warren......Warren. Very fascinating after you repeat it a few times. Team AWESOME WARREN BULLS vs DAY TRADING MARKETERS wasn't as close as us Guppies would have liked it. After Naker served up some of his players hips, teeth and walking frames, the Bulls will have to go back to the drawing board if they want another win. How did Naker's players manage to score 39 points in the final quarter? Wouldn't they need a ventilator or something by then? No one will know how Naker does it...maybe magnets?

3 Sidónio Conceição Viral Infections 43 PTS 7 REB 7 AST 3 STL 1 BLK. Easily the best player out there on the night.

2 Yuri Abruzzese Viral Infections 30 PTS 4 REB 6 AST 2 STL. Easily gets this vote just for his name alone. ABRUZZESEEEEEE!!!!

1 - César Serre Viral Infections 23 PTS 4 REB 11 AST.

Coin Collectors vs. Hobos 80 - 91 At Naker Virus Arena.
My favourite team (not biased at all) Hobos had a brilliant win on Friday against the valiant but hopeless Coin Collectors. I think they should keep collecting those coins because there is clearly room for improvement. Roger McComiskey was outstanding as always over the win, best to keep out on that one! The Coin Collectors tried some dirty tactics by doing a lot of fouling was it wasn't enough to stop the Hobos from taking the win. Hobos GM had this to say after the game, "Garrie sucks". Exciting stuff!

3 Debjit Chaturvedi Hobos 20 PTS 7 REB 2 AST 1 STL 1 BLK. The Hobos team had a very well rounded performance from everyone but Debjit just takes the cucumber. Better FG% plus taking advantage of the free FTs shows a little extra effort and deserves the 3 votes.

2 Siarhey Usik Coin Collectors 18 PTS 4 REB 6 AST 2 STL 1 BLK. It was a coin toss between Usik and Antuñán. I couldn't split them as I reckon they had exactly equal games. I tossed a coin and gave the points to Usik. If Cuprolamniophobe challenges for Antuñán to get the points then he can get them automatically.

1 Mak ZhaoHong Hobos 19 PTS 6 REB 4 AST 1 STL. As much as Moana scored and rebounded, he fouled and turned it over too much. Zhaohong gets the points from others misfortunes - that's how we roll at the Hobos!

Team Akuma vs. Skyhook Dreamers 75 - 83
At Blue Piggy Bank.
Dud team 1 vs dud team 2. What a great match up of fumbling fools fighting for f**k all. Very good game but Skyhook always just slowly edged away from Akuma. The odds before the game were $1.43 a piece - didn't show much between them. Skyhook should have celebrated into the night after this win because I don't think his next one will be within the next blue moon.

3 Inayet Hürriyet Skyhook Dreamers 20 PTS 1 REB 5 AST 1 STL. Very close up the top of the stats sheet but I flipped another coin and gave the big 3 to Hürriyet.

2 Darrell Pressley Team Akuma 28 PTS 15 REB 1 AST. Big game from big bad black Darrell. Absolutely DESTROYED Brynsteinsson inside and easily deserves second spot.

1 Valentin Robinot Skyhook Dreamers 24 PTS 6 REB 2 AST 1 STL. Followed closely by Chan but just steals the points away. Better FG%, similar rebs, similar ast, their TO and fouls cancel each other out, plus 1 steal extra to Robinot. Better luck next match Chan ya dud!

shepparton shooters vs Persepolis Immortals 63 - 80 At Garbage Can (the best).
Arguably the best match of the round in all of the fishbowl.
Big ezy vs big Xerxes.
Big V-Thrush vs Big Salimi sausage.
A big inside game was expected and it was delivered. The Immortals smacked the weak shooters around and won every quarter with a dominant display of sausage. A very good game hosted by a great arena giving as many fans as possible a chance to watch the big clash.

3 Pashang Salimi Persepolis Immortals 24 PTS 21 REB 2 AST 1 BLK. Mr Sausage himself didn't want any weak stuff in the paint and cleared the path every time.

2 Junel Viojan shepparton shooters 22 PTS 25 REB 1 AST 2 STL. Huge game by virgin boy catching the eye of DIREWUUULF who may be looking for V-Thrush to join the NT squad.

1 Patap Papkevich Persepolis Immortals 15 PTS 4 REB 2 AST 1 STL 1 BLK. Just edging out Levitsianos by 1 block and 3 rebounds against 6 missed shots. 1 BLK + 3 REB > 6 shots. Either player could get the points if challenged because it's too hard to split hairs.
