Nice to remember! Must include shot blocking for sure in any way, because Justin told that is very important (maybe more?) than defences to get the opponent missing the shot.

ID is the defense against the player. You make it tough to find a good place, decrease the possible FG%.
SB is the defense against the shot. The opponent deceided to shot the ball and SB has to stop it.
In my point of view, every shooting foul is a failed shot block.

It is the player with the highest sum OD ID SB. on inside box ID has more weight, OD has more weight on the outside box.

On inside box ur best defender guards the guy with the highest JS +IS

On outside box he guards the guy with the highest JS +DR+JR

Those are Justin's words on discord, not mine. I have tested them though 😃

Once again, I feel confused by this discussion on the box defenses. I think I've read before that the inside box leaves the best OUTSIDE defender to guard best opposing player, and the outside box – the best INSIDE defender to do the same. Which kind of makes sense, considering how the box is constructed (either inside or outside).

And now you're making the opposite statement. So, where's the truth?

Sorry to trouble you even more when you've already made probably the best thread in here, but could it be possible to add the dates? Some quotes look like they were made before certain changes and might not be relevant anymore, eg, the one about FTs sounds like it was made before JS/JR was taken into account in the FT formula.

What you read was before the tactics update and it is true. In inside box the defender guarded the best outside scorer and outside box the opposite.

This "weird" situation is now fixed and the defenses work as are supposed to, my take is that the 4 players box/zone is steady and does not move and the 5th defender chases the best scorer

- How fast stamina is consumed is only determined by your tactics. Your opponent cannot impact your rate of stamina consumption. Fast tactics consume stamina faster. Slow tactics consume stamina slower.

Are we sure about that? From BB-Charles post ''The rate at which your players get tired and are substituted depends upon the tactics your opponent selects.''

Which is correct?

I just went ahead and asked for a bit of clarification...

Substitutions can be impacted by your opponents tactics and the state of the match
The rate of stamina decrease is impacted by substitutions and how long players play.

So in theory your opponent can indirectly influence your substitutions via their tactics. But there is no direct influence on your stamina consumption.

So at the end having a roster with SB 20 is enough to keep the opponent score low? What about having high SB on P and PG position, in your opinion?
