Türkiye vs Portugal 119-117 (68643)

We're bringing a big victory from Lisabon! It was a very close match from beginning till the end, we were up by 5 points just 20 seconds to go, but Portugal managed to bring the game into the overtime with two 3-pointers. In the overtime, our players were a bit fresher, and managed to secure a narrow victory.

Portugal is probably one the strongest European nations in the Consolation Tournament. Two seasons ago, they took the 1st place, but were eliminated by Poland later on. As I already said, Portugal was the toughest game in our draw, so I'm really happy we managed to start with a win.

There were some interesting results in the 1st round, most notably, Slovenia managed to beat Lithuania (68631), and Russia managed to win against Serbia (68622).

Next Monday, we're playing against Puerto Rico, one of the weakest nations in BB. So we'll be looking to win by 60+ points, as point difference will matter a lot in the final standings.

Last Monday, we've won against Puerto Rico, one of the weakest nations in BB. Only Malta and Bahamas have fewer victories than them in BB history.

Puerto Rico vs Türkiye vs 48-144 (68674)

With a +96 points victory, we've managed to get to the 1st place after the second round. Next is Azerbaijan, which will be another easy victory where the goal will be to win by 60+ points.

So far, the biggest disappointments in the Consolation Tournament are Serbia, Portugal, and Czech Republic, who lost both of their starting matches, and are playing 0-2 after the first 2 rounds.

On the other hand, Slovenia, Russia, Bosna and Bulgaria have started 2-0 with some impressive victories, and have a decent draw to potentially play 8-0.

The Consolation Tournament is a little messy to follow since there are 82 nations, so after the 3rd round, I'll start posting a table with 10-15 European nations that interest us, so it would be a bit easier to follow.

Türkiye vs Azərbaycan vs 138-68 (68730)

We've won our two easiest games against Puerto Rico and Azerbaijan with +96, and +70, which is quite good for our point difference.

After the 3rd round, there are 15 European nations with a score of 3:0, and one of these nations will likely host the next European Tournament.

1. France (**) 3:0 +171
2. Türkiye 3:0 +168
3. Suomi (**) 3:0 +152
4. Belgium (**) 3:0 +144
5. Magyarország 3:0 +136
7. Bosna 3:0 +120
8. Sverige 3:0 +119
9. Slovensko 3:0 +113
10. England 3:0 +101
11. Slovenija 3:0 +90
13. Bulgaria 3:0 +84
14. Rossiya 3:0 +77
15. Belarus 3:0 +73
17. Danmark 3:0 +65
18. Ukraina 3:0 +58

21. Lietuva (**) 2:1 +89
39. Srbija 1:2 +29
42. Portugal 1:2 +2

Lietuva, Serbia, and Portugal are also worth following even though they've lost some matches, since they are some of the strongest nations in the tournament. Nations with (**) can't host the European Tournament next season.

It's still too early to say who's the favorite, but Slovenia is looking quite strong to me.

Slovenia never won any medals, but their current generation is the best one they've ever had. Last season, they were very close to winning a medal, and they already have 2 nice victories against Lithuania and Czech Republic in the Consolation Tournament. If they win their next match against Venezuela, they will end up with a 8:0 score, and will definitely be among top 3 favorites to host the European Tournament.

Bulgaria is also a nation that I'm keeping an eye on. Just like Slovenia, they've never won any medals so far, but for the past 9 seasons they've been led by mink0ff, one of the best managers in BB, and their current generation is looking very talented.

Of course, we are also looking quite good after our victory against Portugal. But we do have another tough away match in the 5th round against Hungary, who are playing 3:0 so far.

But, before that, next Monday, we'll be playing against Singapore. This week, our game shape wasn't that good, 5/15 players were in GS 7, but since we played against a weak nation, it wasn't that important. I'm hoping that game shape will be better from now on, as we will need it for the match against Hungary in the 5th round.

Singapore vs Türkiye vs 71-109 (68760)

With the 4th game behind us, we've reached the halfway point of the round-robin phase. I was hoping for a ~50p victory against Singapore, but they had maximum enthusiasm against us. Still +38p isn't bad, so we've kept the 2nd place, behind France.

1. France (**) 4:0 +208
2. Türkiye 4:0 +206
3. Suomi (**) 4:0 +201
4. Bosna 4:0 +179
5. Belgium (**) 4:0 +159
6. Sverige 4:0 +159
9. England 4:0 +138
11. Bulgaria 4:0 +119
12. Rossiya 4:0 +106
13. Belarus 4:0 +97
14. Ukraina 4:0 +93
17. Lietuva (**) 3:1 +143
20. Magyarország 3:1 +108
22. Slovensko 3:1 +98
25. Slovenija 3:1 +76
33. Portugal 2:2 +67
35. Srbija 2:2 +38

Last week, we had 15 European nations without a loss, and after the 4th round, there are 11 European nations left undefeated, including us.

For us, most important result was Slovenia's defeat to Venezuela (68773). Belgium managed to win against Slovakia (68748), which is also good for us, since Belgium can't host the next European Tournament.

Next monday, we're playing against Hungary in Budapest. In the last 3 rounds, we've had easy opponents, but Hungary will be a tough match. Even though they are usually ranked between 30-50th place (currently 43th), with 263 users, they are in top 15 BB nations when it comes to the number of managers, so they always have some very good players in their NT.

@GForce03
Most players are getting good minutes, but we're just unlucky with the GS this season. Here are some examples:

Bingün:
1. week: 58min → GS 7
2. week: 60min → GS 7
3. week: 66min → GS 7
4. week: 76min → GS 8 (low)

Faruk (1st substitute for Bingün):
1. week: 65min → GS 7
2. week: 67min → GS 8 (low)
3. week: 61min → GS 8 (low)
4. week: 62min → GS 8 (medium)

Ergul (He has high ST, so with these minutes he should at least be in GS 8):
1. week: 78min → GS 7
2. week: 64min → GS 7
3. week: 75min → GS 7
4. week: 78min → GS 7

Only 3/15 players had GS 9 this week, so let's just hope we'll have better GS for the match against Hungary, cause we will need it.

Unrelated to NT but how can we see the levels (low, medium etc.)? I didn't know there was such a thing.

You can figure it out based on player's DMI.

At the beginning of the season, DMI of a player is around 5x bigger than their salary. For example:
- When the DMI of a player is ~5x bigger than their salary, their GS should be either 7 (low), or 6 (high).
- When the DMI of a player is ~10x bigger than their salary, their GS should be either 8 (low), or 7 (high).
- When the DMI of a player is ~20x bigger than their salary, their GS should be either 9, or 8 (high).

ST plays a big role in DMI, so those with low ST may have GS 9 when their DMI is around 17x higher than their salary, while those with high ST will have GS 9 when their DMI is around 23x higher than their salary.

Anyway, I don't think it's possible to figure out the exact GS sublevel. But with DMI, it's possible to figure out whether the sublevel is low/medium/high, especially if you know the ST of a player.

Today we're playing against Hungary, an opponent that I've been mentioning for a while now. They aren't as strong as Portugal, but they are still a tricky opponent to beat in an away match. They seem to have maximum enthusiasm, and our game shapes are similar.

Kezer got injured last week (45622230), so we won't be able to count on him for today's match. But thankfully, Mecdi finally has GS 8 (46958389), so he joined the team, as well as veteran Rikkat (45621606), who is still one of the best guards we have.
