winning against the top teams off course gives you bonus points, but it is a well known fact that good cup runs, have a huge "inflation" on the country ranking. (sorry if the word inflation is out off place, dont know how else to say it).....

In my case I have never been past the final 32 in the cup. Sure I am in the EBBL, but I have only won 4 games. Even at the start of the season I was ranked 10th. Now I am 5th. Any ideas why I am as high as I am? Why would I be above somebody like Arsenal Dunkers who reached the quarter finals in last years cup, were in the EBBL last year, and are 5-0 this year?

because you won your league last season and arsenal dunkers didnt

they played quite poorly actually last season

you reached round 5 off the cup last season and round 6 the season before.

yes arsenal dunkers made it to round 8 in the cup last season but round 2 the season before.

i dont know all the ins and outs either but i know alot off players, players that are rated quite highly stated that the cup games inflate the rankings, same counts for league 2 win.

it is a known fact that winning the 2nd league counts for the fans more than being in spot 3 - 6 in the first league. Most teams that got promoted and than end 4-5-6 th see a drop in gate receipts in their second season in the EBBL...

dont ask me for the exact formula, cause I dont know it...

I think I've blown my chances of making the top 20 this year by going out of the cup early, but after beating 5th ranked Fusio on Saturday I had briefly reached my all-time high of 23.

I then beat a team ranked in the low 30's by 61 and dropped 4 places to 27, which was not quite what I was expecting....

the cup shouldnt be your mean goal, isnt it time for you to be in the ebbl??

dont think you were in it before? you have been knocking on the door for quite some time now...

Dont know what the rankings exactly mean but if you finish top 2 in a division 2 you must be kicking in the top 20 in my opinion...

EBBL is my only goal, but there are a lot of good teams in II.3, FC Warriors, Jelenie, Bolo Towers, Fusio, Js Giants..
The strength of that Division has gone up dramatically in the last 3 seasons, so it won't be easy.

Giants, Dogs, basically the same....
I promoted from Div 3 whilst beating J's Giants in season 13, looks like the experience did him no harm...

I just cracked the top 25 for the first time. Hopefully I will have a good cup run to cement my position.
