Alright I need to vent, I'm starting to get very p**** with the game engine.

Take a look at my last cup game ((121931560)).

The guy has 3 strong guys (100k salary), 1 33k player and then 3-4 scrubs, sub 10k salary. His 5 best salary have respectable GS at best, most are only average.

On the other hand, I got a 5 player strong starting lineup, all 5 with 75k+ salary (3 with 100k+), 3 of these with proficient GS, 1 with strong and the last one average. Backups are two 20k+ players, one 10k trainee then 2 scrubs that don't play. All of them with great GS.

I have a HUGE DMI avantage in all positions, even with the backups. How on earth his 2 7k players manage to score 13 and 12 pts plus a thousand rebounds each?! They are playing against guys with 16 and 15 OD, and 14 16 and 18 Rb FFS! Even my big backup has 13 Rb...

This game should not even be close, it should have been a walk in the park regardless of the strategy or whatever. Playing normal vs TIE should not give that much of an advantage, neither does playing at home. Please tell me something is broke or someone put a red flag on my team somewhere, I'm out of explanations right now.

On a related note, I would like to ask if any of the following GE properties have been modified compared to say ~15 seasons ago:

-> HCA
-> PR specialty effects
-> Effort modifier
-> Ent modifier
-> Randomness

It's not my team, posting just to have someone please help me understand these matchup ratings.

So winning team plays a 40k SF on PG spot and gets 71 points per 100 shots in PG matchup ratings.

Losing team plays a 190k PG on PG spot and gets 52 points per 100 shots in PG matchup ratings.

Thanks for a quick answer! I just bought the 190k PG, that's why his game shape is down a few levels. However his salary doesn't come from PA, these are his skills:

Jump Shot: phenomenal Jump Range: marvelous
Outside Def.: phenomenal Handling: colossal
Driving: legendary Passing: marvelous
Inside Shot: tremendous Inside Def.: prominent
Rebounding: mediocre Shot Blocking: strong
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: tremendous

Since most of his salary comes from JS, JR and HA, he's probably not the best PG for Look inside tactics.

Btw, what does it mean he was exhausted? His stamina is respectable...

That’s okay, but he is 30 years old … so if he does not „rest enough“ in Q1-Q3 he might suffer exhaustion in Q4.

Have a quick look in the rules or the season news.

Thanks, didn't know about exhaustion. So having high stamina on a 27+ year old guy is counterintuitive, as coach will leave him for 40+ min in a close game.

Yeah you're right, PA first as he's listed as a PG, and then JR. If his JR was just a bit higher, he would probably be listed as a SG.

Yep I bought him for outside and balanced tactics. In LI tactics, his owner didn't take advantage of his best skills at all.
