Moreover, all suggestions are voted on in Discord. So I guess any changes will be decided there and not on this website.

This issue could be mitigated if before every decision made on Discord an announcement is posted here saying «hey, if you wanna vote about this or that go to Discord (link) and vote»

A few thoughts on this...

First of all a huge thank you to the old guard. And a big good luck to the new guard.

Secondly, we have to be realistic here - BB-Marco & Co invested money into the acquisition, not because of the kindness of their hearts, but because they see potential to monetise it and eventually make a profit on it, otherwise they wouldn't have done it. And that's okay, this is how the world works, there is no problem with the fundamental concept.

And this is where the whole thing can go to many directions - depending on what is their vision on this - I'm sure they have a few ideas in mind on how they could make a load of money on this, and I'm also fairly certain they are not going to share them anytime soon, regardless if we would like them or not. But we can also be realistic here, if they can acquire 1000 new members for the price of losing 100 old ones, they wouldn't think much about it.

So to be seen what's going to happen - let's say that I am trying to be cautiously optimistic here.

Still if they plan on changing the core of BB drastically and also the UX/UI, why would they pay so much for the app? It's still a too big investment if you want to keep just that.

Also voting on Discord does not equal decision making, it's just gathering feedback. It's very premature to assume they'll just implemnt a suggestion from Discord without considering other input.

But feel free to keep to your pessimistic thoughts, I personally think it detracts from the "charm" of the game to be that way though.

Suggestions that will be either accepted or declined, which are exclusively on Discord :)

Who says the decision to accept or decline is purely based on input from Discord? Maybe stop assuming.

Hi Marco,

Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you on acquiring this game and a 13,000 strong player base along with it! Also really appreciate you putting yourself out here

The reason I, my friends and so many others on here love this game, and have played it for many years on end, is because of its realism, slow pace and the ability to have this game tricke along with our real life. It's an outlet, a break from reality for many of it. It is a particularly addictive game after you put in months, if not years of effort to be better than your competitors. It's unlike any other sports game in that sense, most of which people only play for a short while and forget.

I think, personally, a face-lift of the site would be particularly appreciated to attract new players, along with a series of video/interactive tutorials for new users. The biggest issue in this game isn't what it entails, but actually getting over the initial hurdle of understanding it. Once new users are able to grasp the complexity and gain some pointers on where to go next, with a bit of marketing this thing can really take off.

I also understand that you would want to make back the money on your investment, and of course, this is very reasonable. I just hope that this game does not become pay-to-win, or faster paced (perhaps a whole new game for that?), but rather, by providing even more cosmetic and customisable incentives to buy a supporter package could be a good way to go. Even including ads at half-time of the match-viewer could be a small revenue booster.

:) Once again, congratulations and thank you for reading all of our ideas. I look forward to the positive changes. All the best, Marco!
