Just wondering how many league games a player has to have played in to be eligible for an All Star team? Also how are these players selected? Number of points? Votes?

2/3 games need to be played for a player to be able to be voted on. The players are picked randomly based on their play in the regular season by voted generated from the BB engine. Then, the 6 all-stars that made the most 3's get to compete in the 3-point competition.

I am not sure there is much (if anything) random in the assignment of votes. Allocation of votes is based on fan pools and player performance. This means that players that have performed well and belong to teams with large fan pools // have been seen by large crowds will be selected.

Also, I am not sure that the participants in the 3-point contest are necessarily picked by the voted allstars, but it has never occurred to me to check one way or the other.

The player doesn't need to be in the all-star team nor in the top 4 of voting to take part in the 3-point contest. However, my guess is that the same criterion that screens players eligible for all-star voting makes them eligible for the 3-point contest.

for all star players rating is crucial, but not the final thing, and for the 3pt shooter contest i really dont understand how they pick them, one thing is for sure - percentage is not taken seriously (if even it is taken in consideration) but attempts are. i think that next season there will be more real-life in all-star weekend after economic changes, but there will be need for fixing some things in GE.

For the 3p contest, shooters are picked by the number of 3p scored regardless of percentage.
I have figured that by using BB-Stats last 2 seasons.
