I think this came up when the new forums went live, but I don't remember what the response was. Anyway, there are quite a few threads that I mark as low priority, yet I still see that there are new messages for them when I do a Sneak Peek. What's the reasoning for this?

I'd prefer that things worked like the blue arrows in HT. One click and the thread is hidden forever.

I agree. I want the low priority threads all the way down on the last page of that forum. At the same time, I would like to see the threads I choose as high priority sitting up by the sticky threads, whether there are new messages or not.

Does anyone know what the "priority" options actually do? If I mark a thread as low priority or high priority, what change does that make?

Marking it "high priority" turns the arrow pointing up to the left of the thread title in the forum list and changes its color from green to red. Nothing else that I can tell and I am not sure what "low priority" does to the arrow, due to lack of use.

There has to be some other use of it, other than changing the direction of an arrow, right?

Honestly, since we're in the Suggestions forum, can I suggest that when a thread is marked Low Priority, it completely disappears from the list of threads in a given forum. Conversely, I would like to see any thread marked High Priority jump to the top of the threads in a given forum each time there is a new post in that thread.

If that's too much to ask, then how about this: I never want to see a low priority thread in my sneak peek, but always want to see a high priority thread. I seem to recall some discussion as to why threads that you post in are not automatically considered high priority (though I long for that, coming from HT)
