weird I today lost to about the worst team I've played all season and again was my first loss. I was higher than him in every area and had all my players in normal position. Often been walking all over teams much better than his but well sums up my week sofar :-(

The curse of "look inside", that tactic scares me even despite regularly putting up inside scoring 2-3 levels better than my opp inside def. That tactic is just asking for trouble.
In the last game engine update it was stated that opposing defenses will adjust by double teaming against the look inside tactic. That's fine, but the offensive team needs to take advantage of the open outside players and I've seen little evidence that my team makes that adjustment.
Also, look inside is a higher pace offense, which apparently can force your players to rush into bad shots.

well thanx for the help, I've been having my starters only play a little over a quarter of most of my games as I waste on teams every match, did this change in 'simulator' happen just before the cup game as I heard nothing about it?
Also saw there was something wrong with cup games but unfortunatly mine wasn't one to be replayed :-(

The last engine change was near the end of last season. Now that I think about it, I'm wondering if passing for inside players has something to do with how well your team adapts to double teams. Charles has said the engine is fairly complex. Either way, inside scoring is my teams best strength, and I try to use "look inside" as little as possible.

The last game engine change was exactly after the 3rd round of the league, this season.
(I remember well because I had 3 losses in a roll, including a elimination in the 1st round of the Cup, and after that they changed some things back, and I won every official game ever since)
