The asterisk is there to show that some of the losses were of the "Walk-Over" variety. Which means that he did not field enough players to actually have the game played.

In the event of a tie between two teams, a team that does not have any walkover losses will be higher ranked than a team with a walkover loss... even if the first team has a worse point differential.

What if this is done to be *higher* ranked in the draft pick?

yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present."

At this point, it appears you can work yourself into a better draft position by walking over... but considering all that you lose by doing a walk over, it is probably a wash at best.

I could see someone doing a walkover for monetary benefits (i.e. intentionally losing to move from 5th to the relegation zone). but that still has dangers as well.

Just a reminder of what the changes were to these walk-overs.

As a response to the suggestions of many of our users, we will be implementing a few minor changes to the way we handle forfeits starting immediately.

Currently, a team which forfeits loses the game 25-0, and the game is treated normally for the purposes of training, game shape, and team effort. After the changes, a forfeit will still be recorded as 25-0, but the league standings will consider a team that forfeits to be below all teams with the same win/loss record, regardless of point differential. Furthermore, a forfeiting team will receive no training minutes for the game. The team effort will still have the same effect as before.
