Could someone tell me why, after 9 seasons, teams which reach fifth place have to lose money and should "pay" something to have avoided play-out... is a non-sense!

Could "someone" fix a prize to 5th place attaining in order to survive for two weeks without arena income?

Please think about it.

Thanks

You came fifth? ;>
You have a point but I don't know what it would be. Relegation game also? A bit harsh but maybe?

Suggestions:

- a money prize
- double match with arena revenue 2/3 and 1/3 as play-offs play-outs against the fifth team on the other conference

then you try to get fifth instead of fourth ;)

i favor the solution that you don't pay salary in weeks without a "official" match, or maybe half salary.

Look at my suggestion.

The team that comes 5th in the regular season will face the other group 5th. The first who wins two matches gains a small amount of money (about $50,000).

It depends on who is coming 7th in the other conference. At least in divIII where I play now, I say like Ali G: "I definately would"...take on anyone of those. They are either practically bots or just otherwise easy to beat, especially with home advantage.

for this season i would say yes, but i made one win to much to get extra on relegation spot ;)

With one income from a away PO game, i will made around -750.000-800.000$ in the last three weeks, without this game this would be a negative around a million as a fifth placed team. With on or 5/3 home games in the off seson, i half this negative till i getting profits.

Even in the last season i was near a bancrucy warning, and just survive through through the starts with too home games without downgrading my team.

I don't know if somebody has already said this but... here it goes. Add revenue to the scrimmages of the teams that got out of the playoffs early and to the 5th place matches. To avoid messing with the regular scrimmages, just give this matches a different denomination. Simple.
