Why is this happening? Does no one else see this?
Its playoff time and I got a PF who took 2 3 point shots already in the 1st half. I got one guard who took 3 attempts which was fine but also SF and PG and even the C are better Jumpshooters and better jump range than the PF. Why did the PF take 3s?

I've seen this happen to my team before. ITs absolutely whack. My bigs should play in their comfort zone and my guards etc. who can shoot should be taking the outside shot. It makes no sense. Seems like play calling is completely random with no concern for players position or skill. What gives?

I had been playing low post so that this wouldn't happen. I didn't want to be too predictable so I went base offense, hoping the computer would play in reason, again I see it totally screwing me. My PF is throwing bricks form 3 point land and my no inside scoring guys are all trying to dunk. What a joke

a power forward is normally a shooter too, and if his opponent can defend he will take those shoot even without excellent shooting skills. And if this not a last second shot, he won't nail then that bad.

It is happening because this is a computer simulation. Your players are not real players, nor is your coach a real person. The computer goes through a series of probability calculations that match numbers against one another. If the calculations result in a shot being taken, then a shot is taken. Furthermore, if you need some real life similarity to ease your pain and curb your whining, take a look at the end of the Chris Webber-era Sacramnento Kings. That particular Power Forward used to infuriate the majority of Northern California by never going closer than 19 feet from the hoop, and who routinely cast up his zero arc trajectory set shots from three-point territory. He didn't make many.

I think the guy ended up taking like 5 tre attempts by end of the game.
Did Cwebb do that as a rookie when he was NOT an allstar and there were allstars and other top scorers on his team?
Yea its a simulation with some issues I guess i got to work around it.
I tried a new lineup. Guess i shoulda went tried and true for what had been working for me. In theory if I knew how to tell the game to call plays I woulda had a better lineup-not a worse one.
The main problem is you can't play by position. You either have inside focus, or outside focus etc. as a team. No specific player to player/position to position strategies. I find that kinda whack. Kinda means your whole furgin team has to be the same type of players. I wanted 3 point/outside shooters at the 1-3 that game, and bigs inside rebounding and dunking. PF I wanted to a bit of Ben Wallace, just play D. I guess this game just doesn't work that way. I found out the hard way.

In the game you are talking about ( I assume it is the PO loss in which Aulis went 1-6 from beyond the arc) the problem was that his defense was WAAAY better than your offense, meaning that (in terms of the simulation) there were few good shots available so players had to take shots that were not that great. Also, probably not a great idea to play Playoff Normal unless you are sure you are gonna roll. Especially as the visitor.

after checking your team your 3 points shots are still only around 30%
try backing up what yousaying with fact not just random numbers your pulling out of no where, people are trying to learn the game mechanics here
