Hi everyone

thanks for all the tips so far and sorry if I'm asking really dumb questions!! but here I go again -

If I train the whole team in rebounding rather than specific positions only will the training be less effective??

thanks

Yes.

The more position specific your training is the less time it takes to train those skills.

i.e. if you train rebounding only for your C and PF, it is far more effective than doing team training

another think you should consider, that rebounding at your guards has less value then on your big men.

Apologies for the grammar Nazi aspects of this post:

I think the proper word in English would be efficient.

Training all players would be effective as it would produce the effect of them being trained in a particular skill.

Training one, two or three positions at a time would be more efficient as it would produce the desired effect with a minimum of waste.

edit: replaced "players" with "positions" in last sentence

Is "value" a nazi word?

And i also think i don't mean efficient, the training is less efficient because of the more position what you pointed out and someone before me - but the "value" of the training is for a center bigger then for a guard because a center with a higher rebound skill will improve his rebounding stats more then a guard with the same increase in this skill so i tihink the value for the game is higher if you concentrate the training on your center.

Another aspect about efficiency, i think if you train with players with the comparable size and age, team or two position i think the team training would give you overall more skills ups - but the "value" would be smaller because you make money with "elite"(<- i think this is more an nazi word) players then with role players. And especially for a reboudn up for a guard, you ddn't increase his value on the transferlist(atleast here the word is right, and another reason i used it above)

I hope you could now understand what i mean, sometimes it isn't easy for me to express me in english and one note for you "germans" hate nazi comparisions* we have a really bad history and we are a shame for it, but we also learned from it and in my opion it is now a very tolerant country because of this history.

Edit:

* we are angry about people who said something connected to the right wing of the politik, i hope this was also the intention of your post ... But i'm angry that you misunderstood me that way, because in germany you are as a "rigth" socialy exspeled, and i don't thing the post aboe was that bad.

Edit2: to express me righth nazi is in german a hard accusation, so better use it when you are sure.

I think he meant himself acting like a nazi, when commenting on what he thought was a grammatical mistake by you. Bad choice of words.

"Grammar nazi" is an Anglo-American internet colloquialism which means a person who is overly enthusiastic about correcting someone's word usage. I don't think anyone was accusing you of being a Nazi or alluding to that rather unfortunate series of events in German history.

I am quoting this because it says it better than I could.

Absolutely no offense was meant to anyone in particular or any nation or people in general.

As getupgetout stated, it is a fairly frequently used term meaning someone who goes out of their way to point out a grammatical error, whether perceived or real.

And it was directed towards myself.

Please accept my apology in this matter. I sincerely meant no offense and, in all seriousness, was not even paying attention to the flag icon in your post.

I was going to say that I will try to be more careful, but, on reflection, I will say instead that
I will pay more attention when I post and bear in mind the fact that words and phrases can have
different meanings in different places.

Once again, I am sorry. No offense was meant and I am incredibly ashamed and embarassed by any I have caused.
