Two of my players, that were put down as backup turned out to play as a starter. If I recall my former setup of 3rd of January, it nicely shows the lineup I put in. It messed up my minute planning. Can anybody tell me where to report this.

The only way to recall starter upset is to replay the game and watch carefully from the very beginning. Good luck!
Hard for others to know who you put on as starters ...

Older than the rest ...

Report it in the Bugs, Bugs, Bugs forum.

i'm aware of the problem... let me make an education guess and say that you played coach decides, and were starting someone much worse than your backup?

what happened was the depth chart was set correctly, but even fully rested your coach really thought the backup should play over the starter, and so he subbed him out at the beginning of the game (although the match viewer didn't report it because that substitution also subs out blank spots people put in their starting lineup). Anyway... i need to either write a special substitution algorithm for that initial substitution or else i'm considering revamping the way i have the coach consider subs...

be advised that your depth chart was set correctly, so even if the starter had started out in the game the substitution strategy you chose of coach decides would have resulted in the coach playing each player about the same number of minutes. If you really want the coach to pay mostly attention to the depth chart use strict depth chart.

Unfortunatley you guessed wrong. I always play Depth Chart until fourth. (checked with recalling the lineup, it also changes the substitutions option. And well the starters I put in, they were a tiny bit (understatement) worse than the players who actually played. Main reason was that these players were injured and therefore had a wretched form. Thanks for the explenation, but what can I do about this in the future. These players need a lot of playing time to regain form. Hopefully you are able to change the algorithm, maybe for the scrimmage only :), because that game is probably used to fill up training slots, recover form and to give some few minutes to players

so to SOME extent this is realistic.. players coming back from injuries take a little while to get back into the swing of things and can't play full minutes right away. If form can't be put back to normal in a week or two though I think that's probably too much.

But especially in scrimmages you don't play to win, but to get new players in shape, give some players extra playing time, or to recover from injuries.

Besides this, I think setting the lineup is also strategic. You don't want to play your best players all the time. Especially if you need them in the second league game, or to win that important Cup game. Therefore I think it is not a good thing that the starters play less minutes than the bench. It is not like that in the real world as well.

P.S. Something else. According to FIBA rules and regulation a technical foul is awarded with two free throws + possesion. At the moment this is not the case during the games if I am not mistaken.

BB doesn't use FIBA rules - it uses NBA rules.
