Training Pressure - Might be a dumb question

I've been playing since near the end of Season 4 so I should probably know this. However, I'm trying to set up my next game in regards to maximizing training.

I'm training Pressure for PG/SG/SF (because I cannot train SF alone) and I noticed that one of my players as 30 minutes as PG, 16 minutes as SF putting him at 46 minutes for the week. If I want to ensure he receives full training, does he need to play at least 18 miinutes as PG or just play another 2 minutes overall in the next game to put him at his 48 minutes?

Again, I'm probably just overthinking the situation and I'm thinking the answer is the latter but I just wanted to clarify before I wasted my time.

If you are training pressure for PG/SG/SF than he needs only 2 more minutes to gain full training.

If you are doing PG/SG then you need to give him 18 minutes for him to get full training.

With the new changes at scrimmage you can put him as PG/SG in offense, defending as SF, for 18 minutes and just train PG/SG wich is faster than PG/SG/SF, he´ll receive full training.

i think he could do that also in the past, because scrimmage results don't count ;) the reason why he train three position should be in the league games.

That´s right, but what i wanted to mean is that now he has the option to "sacrifice" his SF only in attack, even if it´s a no important scrimmage, before he couldn´t do this. In this situation i should take advantage and i´d train two positions instead of three, at least this week.

Obviously he can set his SF as SG or PG, as before, but now he has the option to set him only in attack, before he couldn´t.
I was refering to the concrete situation that next party is a scrimmage and the player has played the minutes that he told us.
Before and now i agree that he´d train 2 positions.

he just told us about a pg who still need two minutes, and very few about the listeed Sf.

Why you should care about psoition in scrimmage, or even sacrifice training there even when you can not shift the positions?

If it makes sense he need the SF play SF in the league, and stay in shape so that he won't give then 100 minutes because they play 48 minutes in scrimmage additionally.

In the next season, there will be a difference^^

I was wrong about he didn´t told us if the player was PG or SF. If he puts the player as PG(SG) he´ll need 18 minutes if he trains PG/SG to receive full training and the total minutes will be 64, so his GS won´t decrease and he´ll be trained faster.
We don´t know if he´s gonna set the player as backup, so i think he´s not gonna play 48 minutes at scrimmage

so he could that with the "old" new engine too ;)

His question was, if he need 2 or 18 minutes, and he explains that he need the three position training to train his SF who already has over 60 minutes, and need additional 48 minutes in the scrimmage and probadly is important for his league matches.

What different would it make, it he maybe get a bit higher win in scrimmage or maybe win isntead of loose. For the scrimmage training and minute manegement should be the main target.

Let me try to clarify because I guess I caused some confusion.

Here's the player in question.

Lawrence Coyle
Age 22
Height 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential : 6th Man
Game Shape : Proficient

Jump Shot: prolific Jump Range: average
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: prolific
Driving: proficient Passing: respectable

Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: mediocre Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: average Free Throw: average

Experience: pitiful

According to the weekly minute breakdown for the week of 11/7 thru 11/13, he has played 30 minutes at PG (his primary backup position) and 16 minutes at SF (reserve backup).

I want to train Pressure because my starting 6'11" Small Forward, Lowell Webber, has Strong ID and OD and I've been seeing that a good small forward needs to have better than Strong on Outside Defense so I'm starting training back up for my perimeter players. Now my starting SF already has 69 minutes for the week and I don't want to see his game shape drop so he will not be seeing the court this coming scrimmage.

So going back to the player in question, Lawrence Coyle. With his 30 minutes at PG and 16 minutes at SF, he currently has 46 total minutes for the week. Since I want to train Pressure for my starting SF, I can only set Pressure Training to PG/SG/SF to ensure that my starting SF Webber receives his training and I was curious to know if in order for Coyle to receive his max training, does he need to play a total of 48 minutes at one of those three positions or because the training is set for PG/SG/SF will he still receive max training based on total minutes?

Basically, do I need to set Lawrence Coyle up as a starter at PG to ensure he receives his 48 minutes at PG so he receives max training or will playing at least two minutes in either of those three positions ensure he receives max training?

Remember, my starter will receive his training no matter what now due to his 69 minutes at SF. This is really about my favorite backup benefitting during the training this week.

Another reason I ask is because I've got another SF that has not played any minutes this week and I would like to start him for the whole game to give him 48 so he'll receive a pop.
