Hi guys

I've just started at this game, and I was just wondering if any of you guys would look at my players and give me some advice about new players, training and scouting.

Thank you on beforehand.

Welcome to the game, make sure u read the forums and manual in depth many questions u have will have been asked by others. It's easier for us to give advice if you have specific questions that need answering. First thing to do is fire Billeskov and Aagaard as they are no good to your team.

I would add:
1) figure out why aussie dude would dump the players he suggested --
2) i think the optimum squad size is 12 players; aussie's dumps would get you around there.
3) on the positive side, Houmoller could be a real good player. Make sure he gets plenty of training.
4) Learn how to manage game shape to maximize your players current skills.
5) You are selling out your arena. With the beginning of the month coming shortly, you may be able to safely raise ticket prices to increase revenues.
As with all advice: figure out the reasoning behind all these recommendations. Good luck.

Learn as much as you can about proper training. That is the biggest part of BB, teams that can train there own players tend to be the top tier teams. It requires you to set up a training plan for a select group of your players and then stick to it.

Be sure to ask if you have questions after reading the manual.

Make sure u have a look at the important threads sections and newbie help part of the help forums. They give general information about training, what skills are useful for each position etc. The reason players under $3,500 arn't usually that useful is that their skills arn't high enough to compete in your division. Basically promotion from your division is unlikely if u have these type of players getting major court time. A possible exception would be 18 year olds with ok potential who are being trained

Should I buy some new players, or instead focus on my own ( I have now bought Janis Tannis-Priede, was that okay?). Furthermore which trainingstyle will you prefer in the start.

Janis was probably an ok buy as a squad player his to old to be a good trainee though. Your main problem is you don't have many young guys to train. The younger players are the faster they train so ideally u want to set up a training program with some 18 or 19 year olds. A big decision to start with is whether u want to train bigs or smalls, i wouldn't train a SF till you know more about the game. Your best trainee at the moment is Houmoller so i would possibly looking at training guards. Bello is not that great because he has 6th man potential so u wouldn't be able to train him for very long before u hit the soft cap and training slows. I think 2 position training makes the most economic sense when your starting out. Some people have 6 trainees when they are doing 2 position training but 5 trainees is a bit easier to manage minutes wise. So what u really need to do is get another 3 or 4 PG/SG who are similar to Houmoller prefferably 18 but 19 year olds will do if thats all u can afford. Potential doesn't need to be that high but try and make it a minimum of star potential.

Thank you for your feedback. I have just bought a new 19 year old PG Andrea Liguori. I have about 90.000 left, should I buy some new squad players?
