I have tried every setting and still get nothing for minutes from my bench players. What is the best setup so my bench guys can get more than 5 minutes in a game?

Could try setting the backup and reserve as the same guy. Or if you want a lot of minutes set your backup as your starter and vice versa. Or try setting Stick Strictly to Depth Chart. The problem is probably that your starters are a lot better than your backup so the backups don't get much playing time.
