I have a quandry this week. It's is always an issue when picking training What positions gets training and which is the best bang for the buck.
I want to train pressure the week
Position # of players players over 48 min
PG 3 2
PG/SG 7 4 + one 46 min
PG/SG/SF 9 7
level 4 trainer
Even though I may not get many pop's by training 9, It would seem that my whole team basically would improve more than just training 3, 2 completely .
Is that a reasonable theory on training does anyone have better insite?

I would do 2 position training, 3 position training is to ineffective in my opinion.

A lot depends on your team also. If you have a couple outside players that you are specifically trying to train, I would do 1 or 2 position training (assuming they played the right positions).

But if you have a reason to upgrade your team defense (maybe most of your league plays outside offensive tactics) it might make sense to train pressure for 3 positions. In the past I have trained more than 2 positions when needed. I did JS team training for a couple weeks when I had several players that I wanted to raise their shooting.

For the most part though, you want to stick to one or two positions for the specific players you are training to get their skills up quicker.

My 2 cents...

waste of time..you can train 2 position JS in 6 players with 48 mins..

Agreed. But just wish luck is on your side. Playing full 48 mins a game is risky.

I agree with that for almost all situations. But there can be times where you team train a skill. I had some league games where I needed to play some trainees at PG and PF since I was trying to win my league games and not play my players too much out of position. So I did a week of JS for the team.

There are some managers that do all team training and have had some success. But I think for the vast majority of managers, the best option is 1/2 position training.
