indeed,

or if this causes trouble in many team's economy ( maybe 2 or 3 weeks without real income can cause big trouble) the relegation matches can get revenue, but less spectators visit the games because most went looking at the play-off games (say about half or 2/3 of normal spectators) while during the scrimages for the 5th and 8th ranked there are side activities (which are not visible in the game exept for the visitors of the game) which get them also some revenue which is comparable to the 6th and 7th placed game revenue.
