Here is a question for who ever is interested in our national team. When I open Demis Mpanis windows (one of my youngsters) a small windows shows up saying among others that "18 years old will never been strong enough to play in U21, so don't ask for a call. we just want to add your guy to the database". Today I was looking at the games and the squad of the NT to see how we are doing and I came upon Paraskevas Pediaditakis in the NT squad (not the U21) who is 18 years old and never played not even one minute up to now. By the way he is a SG. I was stunt from what I was looking at cause in the mean time a lot of us train young cypriots week after week non stop hoping that one day they can find a place in the NT. And so I ask why this guy? What could the national team ever benefit from Paraskevas Pediaditakis who has not even played any game what so ever? I can think of many many players better than this guy. So Steve why him? And why sent us the above message regarding 18 olds and now pick one and put him in the squad? Why not Michalis Eftaras SG owned by Gold Towers? A much better player than the guy above? Why not Manos Kopanidis SG a super player? There are so many SG better. I would like the opinion of the rest of the managers

As i have explained you again when they invite players in the NT for 3 reasons: 1)They are good enough to make it. 2)They want to see there skills. 3)They want to save talented players, from the teams that soon are going to be bots. If the team of an NT player goes bot, then that player is becoming free agent, so somebody can buy him and train him. If he isnt an NT member then it stuck on a bot team. No training, cant be invited to the NT. Thats the case for Pediatikakis. Also that player maybe is our biggest talent at 18.

What would happen if he isnt part of the NT? [player= 8238656]. Just be happy that our NT coaches are alert, and they check all the time every division in Cyprus and they know what teams are going to be bots

I agree that the manager of this player has not been in the game since 24/11/09. I also agree that yes apparently the player will be lost if he is not in the national team. But what about the rest of the managers who are fighting for the last position in the NT? Is it fair? Anyway I am not writing this to mark Steve, I am just asking to understand a few things better. To avoid misunderstandings. After all from an argument like this Steve decided to post the skills that each player has to have to be enlisted in the NT.

That player will be released as soon as he goes free agent. Thats why they both keep open spots on the NT. I understand your hanger to have an NT player, but come on dont be so selfish. The last spot player will never play a game with the NT, and having a player with flag who does not getting any playing time there its only help your egoism. Nothing else. There job is to think and do the best for the NT, and thats exactly what they are doing.

We dont have the luxury to lose such a talented players for managers egoism.

I really don't know what to say about this incident...but i am sure that Steve will have a very good reason for doing this..i have full trust in him and i believe he is doing everything he can to help the NT..i believe he should wait for his response before we say anything more..maybe there is something in his mind that we don't know yet..

I gave you the ONLY explanation. Steve will not tell you anything deferent .If its not enough for you then its your problem. Not Steves. Just understand that we are so small community we CANT afford to lose such a talented player just because you want a player with flag on him. Actually if you want you can buy him and work with him. If you do that and stick with him for 4-5 seasons he can be better than Atmatzidis. Yes he is THAT good.

Its ok..i don't have a problem with Steve or what he does with the NT..as i said before i have full trust in him...if it was up to me i would like him to stay forever in the NT!!!!!!! I just said that in order to stop saying things before Steve opinion is said..don't worry i support Steve no matter what...i just wanted to say that there is always a good explanation when a misunderstanding occurs..

You have already said your opinion Johny and you do not have to be rude or arrogant to the rest of the people that wish to express their opinions good or bad. We already heard yours. It is really rude to attack Gastone. As I wrote before this is for everyones opinion and NOT JUST YOURS.

Its ok..i did not take the post as an attack..nobody is attacking anyone...we are just saying our opinions..maybe Johny misunderstood what i was trying to say...anyway no problem :)

For those that dont seem to understand, this discusion is not to blame Steve or his way of thinking. I assume most of us are in his corner, since we have voted for him. The reason of this discusion is mainly to come to a conclusion of whether this method is right or not. Whether is fair to the rest of the managers or not. Based on this thinking, I am not saying if it is wrong or right, why not send away 6 players from the squad and recruit new ones that might get lost. After all that will leave us with 12 very good players which are enough for the games anyway. Why not 3 positions instead of 1 for the possibly good players that might get lost. Using 15 players I believe is more than enough for the national team, is it?
Anyway since Steve is the manager he is allowed to perform as he thinks its the best for the team, but it would be nice or atleast thoughtful to mention the reasons behind this decision. After all we all learn from this game. And since we are a small community with less players than other countries I believe its best for everyone to chip in with his ideas or thoughts. At least from my side the least I can do is hear them out and try to help.
