Hello, everyone
I have a player with these stats:
Weekly salary: $ 4 786

DMI: 32200
Age: 22
Height: 6'1" / 185 cm
Potential: star
Game Shape: strong

Jump Shot: prominent Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: average Handling: prominent
Driving: prominent Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: pitiful
Rebounding: atrocious Shot Blocking: average
Stamina: strong Free Throw: strong

My team is in a Canadian IV league and most of the teams in my league has awful-inept perimeter defense, but look at his 3pt % from last game, 3-14! He's being like this from the time he got on my team, I first thought it's because he's the best shooter therefore he takes lots of impossible three pointers when the shot clock expires, but come on, 3 out of 14! Please help me to find out how to improve his percentage to at least 50% 3pt shooting for most of his games because right now, I think he has to have at least 13+ jump shot to get that percentage in only IV league.

P.S. Not complaining or anything but just wondering, why is his salary so low? On the market, players with his stats have like 8000 to 10000 salary, but his is not even 5000. It's a gud thing for me, i guess but can anyone explain how the salary system works, cuz yesterday i got a power forward with proficient inside shot and strong rebounding with 5400 salary and paid only 300,000 for him. I think it's a HUGE ripoff for his previous team just becuz his salary is low.

That's an excellent player for the bottom division.

re: Salary
The salary of players i only changed during the offseason. If he's improved significantly since the salary update his salary won't reflect his skills.

re: Shooting percentage
A few things to keep in mind are that:
a) He needs other players to get him the ball in good situations. How is the passing/handling of your PG? Other players? What sort of Offensive flow ratings are you putting up?
b) His relatively low (but still decent for div IV) passing means he'll take bad shots because he can't pass out of the situation.

Is he playing shooting guard for you?

no he plays PG, and normally he shoots 36% - such think happen when a offense base on one player those player have good and bad shootings nights. And he not only makes impossible shots when the shot clock expires, he also takes difficult shots when he is thinking that his teammates won't get a better one because of their skills.(that also the reason why he shoots that's often).

50% 3pt shooting is a bit ambitious, wouldn't you say?

I'm not saying it's impossible, it's just unusual. Your SG had a great season, but the season before he shot less 3's with a worse percentage. For a regular 3-pt shooter anything between 30 and 40% is normal. Higher than 40 is great

if you want him to play well, position him as sg and play outside focus offense. but i think it is more important to win games and if you do not have anyone better suited for pg than him, you have to accept his shooting performance because pgs usually play low percentages. also respectable ıs not superb for range.
