Hej

Sometimes groups in minor leagues - meaning leagues where newbies start and bots might occur - are very unbalanced. 8 active teams in one group oppose at most 2 active in the other one.
In our league most gamedays are 7-1 for the same group. The top team in the weaker group, however, has a bye or free ticket to the league final.
Opposed to major leagues I don't see this unbalance correct itself over time.

Suggestion: shuffle the groups jn the minor leagues after each season to artificially balance them.

Advantage: better motivation, hopefully more exciting seasons and playoffs.

Yes, this means that there will be some longstanding imbalances which will correct themselves but only over several seasons or more

How motivating this is...

Eh, it'll all work itself out eventually. My league is one of the ones that has been incredibly uneven for the past few seasons, with the Great 8 having several good teams beating each other up all season while the lone good team from the Big 8 has an easy path to the finals. If you look at the interleague standings for the last few seasons, it seems to be evening out somewhat. (122217.1) This is the first season in a long time that the Big 8 has had four teams above .500. Maybe it's the start of a trend
