First, welcome to BB-Edju and BB-Patrick :)

I hope that your arrival will allow BB to grow even faster :)

I have a question about this :
Starting from season 12 the timeframe to change ticket prices will be changed. Currently ticket prices are changed every first of the month. This will change to periods based on the seasonal calendar, as opposed to the regular calendar as they are now.

What is a seasonnal calendar ? Could you give us more details about this ?

Thanks :)

I do not think the exact details have been decided yet. However, a seasonal calendar is one that takes into consideration important dates during the season such as the all-star break, the playoffs, the start of a new season, possibly the Cup final, etc. So instead of changing prices based on a real world monthly schedule, beginning next season you will be able to change your ticket prices more in tune with what is taking place in the BB world.

Yes, congrats to both of you!

Now, in regards to the 10-15% increase for top players, what does that mean for the mid to lower end players? I ask because this season, the salary adjustment was an across the board cut that was the same for all players. If it is 10-15% for the top players, will it be more, less or the same for the remainder of the player pool?

Our current estimate for what this formula will give us in 7 weeks is that it will mean about a 10-15 upward adjustment at the top.

But what does it mean for the average, run of the mill BB player?

I think most people will be looking at the news item and trying to figure out what it means for their team next season. Since the majority of us do not own mega-stars, the 10-15% does not mean much. So the press announcement really only serves to muddy the waters. If the intent was to make it so teams could plan for next season, I am not sure it was very helpful.

Equally, this statement does not mean much:

I suspect our definitions of average might be fairly different. The average salary for a player in BuzzerBeater is currently 3342. This will not change very much.

Maybe just a suggestion. How about, when the allstar break comes closer, have a new player value. His "expected salary next season". This could be only visible by the team owner and when the player hits the TL. It would give every team a better idea of what is coming.

Thanks all.

As Somdefinest said, currently you can only change your ticket prices at the first of every calendar month. Starting from season 12, this will change to moments linked to the BuzzerBeater calendar.
