Hey,
I reckon you should implement a system where if you don't post something on the forum within 3 months then you get fined or something :P We need more people to post on the forums and this could be an incentive to do so. This isn't an overly serious suggestion, I just think that there needs to be more activity on the forums!
:)

I don't think we can do what you suggest :-D but I agree that it would be really nice to boost activity on the forums! If anyone has any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them.

haha, mmm....maybe some sort of reward for posting? 1 dollar per post lol.

Or 1000 posts = 1 week free supporter.

I know on some forums I have been on under everyone's name there is a record of how many posts they have and there is even a top 100 of the top posters. The downside is you then often encourage people (kids?) to make dozens of small worthless posts that add little to any real discussions.

Maybe instead it could be based on a formula of number of posts x the score each post gets. Then at the end of each season there could be a "Media Award" for the best posters in each country, or if you want to go crazy, in each division. This shouldn't show up on the front page because it obviously isn't as big as a championship or MVP, but maybe in something like the team history.

It seems a bit pointless to force people to write in the forums. If you have something to say, you will post anyway. Having a top for posts made will create useless spam. Having a top that also takes into account post scores, will create useful posts by the "leader" being rated with one ball, from users who want to get ahead. Thus making it hard to find out what is the correct info and what is the wrong info. Perhaps that would only be a problem in Estonia (as we love to hate eachother:D). I have seen the same kind of grudges in global aswell. Where useful posts get rated with 1 ball.

I agree with you (as usual, I agree with 90% of what you say) and encouragement schemes do obviously encourage spam but if it was the quality not the quantity that mattered then I think the system would be much better and I am obsessed with trophies. From where I am sitting right now I can see most of my personal collection of 50+ basketball trophies, championships, MVPs etc so naturally I would like my online team to have some trophies too.

Off topic: Pennants suck! I eventually threw out all of my pennants but one.

I don't think I'd ever bother posting anything. I don't really know how to type.

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!
