As the regular season for the Big 8 heads into its final weekend things are getting very interesting. If the Yard Dawgs and the All Starz lose on Saturday and the Fighting Halibut win, it could create a log-jam with all three teams tied with identical 14-8 records. Who would be first then? According to the tie breaker rules the tie would be broken by head-head records. However, the All Starz just joined the conference, and they haven't gone head-head with any of the playoff teams.

The game between the North Huskies and the Fighting Halibut is particularly pivotal because, 1) the winning team will have a higher playoff seeding, 2) it is on TV, and 3) it may determine who gets to host a first round playoff game which means more $$$$ for that franchise.

Good luck to all the teams on Saturday and in the playoffs.... I am looking forward to it.
