From the editorial of 2/1/2010
Due to changes in training patterns, it looks like the salary scale will be somewhat higher next season than it is this season. We expect the salaries to be around 10-15% higher at the top end.

My 50k players had an increase of 8.5%. I surely didn't expect it to be THAT high.

Any idea how much is the increase "at the top end"?

One of my player just got a raise of 120k.

It became completely absurd to train players that much. Nobody can afford them. I guess we'll need some more farm teams now.

I was talking of players I did NOT train :)

Anyway, I expected the new formula to mainly penalize rich teams who can afford high salary players (200k+). It turns out it penalizes a lot lower level managers instead.
I am a bit concerned.

Oh, sorry for that. I'm a little bit paralyzed about my team salary, now ;)

Why are teams being penalized for being strong?

First the arena. Then the tremendous salary increase. What's next? :(

Somehow it is making less and less sense to train well-rounded players at a high level... it is illogical now to train anything above level 15... I even think BBs should abolish levels 16 and above I'm seriously thinking to adopt B3 vice champions Vitoria Devils tactics of only training game shape and stamina and give up completely training and live from my gate receipts and cup prizes... training is getting meaningless... damn it, what is going on here is a hattrick nightmare... farm teams, too high wages... I like this game so much, but I fell like it is the beginning of the end...

since there is such little mobility on higher divisions and better teams seem to always be on top, maybe the BBs have decided ,as only solution possible, to change this forcing those teams to bankruptcy...

This is what I thought too. Hattrick became boring because divines were getting sold left and right. Looks like the same thing will happen here. Bad move by the staff.

many teams refused to hire enough well-paid players to drive their own profits down to zero.

Plus many of those teams are top division teams that were able to make much more per week then teams in lower division, hence creating a significant competitive gap between the divisions that is very difficult for new teams to ever expect to break thru, even if they happen to be better managers. I dont think the BB's want to turn the profit structure upside down like it is in HT, but there should be some balance.

The market will take a hit but in the long run this will be better for the game.

But the way for it is weird, because you reduce the income of the teams just slightly who earn those big amounts of money and the teams who would be close to a balance without income make bad deficits.

Shouldn't be a fix for the problem, to make it attractive to buy player with high salarys and train then in those areas, instead of making the salary/effort coefficient worse for that players?

And wasn't the target with this salary system , to make the top players still affordable to the teams and avoid farms(even if they shouldn't be the way to go, but you still could compete with an outstanding C), and especially those players get more unattractive for top level teams.

Result: Good top level teams, get weaker and weak top level clubs still getting big founds and are less motivated to make the next step because then you can not afford to fly out of the PO in the first round or getting fifth.
