I think the initial round robin should be a random draw, not based on ranking, as it is now a weak team gets smothered in the first 2-4 games before it has any enthusiasm to play on, but when it eventually does it meets it's easiest competition. This makes it so predictable that it is hardly any excitement to even follow the world cups. If they were random, maybe a small team can beat a much stronger opponent after a few games, making it a challenge also for the strongest countries. As it is now the strongest countries in a group get easy matches first, giving them higher enthusiasm without effort, leaving small and middle strength countries without any dreams of qualification. Not very intriguing to watch if you ask me. I hope this is something that will be changed in future seasons.
