The game manual gives two factors for considering the pace of offense:

Stamina - the higher the stamina, the faster the pace you can play at without fatiguing your players

your team's strength - play at fast pace if you are better than your opponent; play at a slow pace if you are weaker than your opponent (reduces the point differential by using more clock thereby increasing the chances of winning, but if their defense completely smothers you, you might end up constantly having trouble beating the shot clock)

Other factors suggested in the forums:

passing/handling - high passing/low handling = play at a fast pace; low passing/high handling = play at a slow pace

opponent plays FCP = play a fast pace

Regardless though, I think that the most important thing to consider is how strong your team is compared to your opponent's. You might be able to play fast against a considerably weaker team but could be a different story against a stronger team. But since you say your team is the best passing team, I figure you can beat most of the teams in your div playing fast. You probably have high offensive flow which will allow you to shoot at a decent rate even though you take quick shots (because you are getting better looks).

in my experience, slow pace offence tends to work good for team with offensive flow advantage.

if my shooting is by far better then my opponent's D, i would play fast, since i would get many high % shots
if not, but i have better offensive flow, i would slow it down, using my good passing to get better looks
slow pace in case you have low flow will result in many shot clock violations, since you players are well guarded and having hard time getting their own shots, plus, no one is there to set them up with a pass

but that is just my own opinion
