How does the Full Court Press defense work? My finals opponent almost pulled off an upset in our first match by forcing my team into 23 turnovers with FCP. His best player averages 2.3 TO a game so I am thinking of playing a FCP in the 3rd finals match, but I don't know how it works.

Do the players play Man to Man-ish defense or a zone type defense? Is OD or ID more important? What sort of player do I need to place opposite the other team's turnover-prone SG?

I am fairly sure the other team will play Base Offense.

Ding.

i am personally not a big fan of the fcp, the defense is more like" man to man" but often close to non existing, when i try to force turnover i like the 1-3-1 zone more who still force some extra to but without so much easy baskets.

I don't have much experience running FCP (only run it about 5 times), however, I strongly recommend that you do not use it unless you have very good stamina (all players at least average on stamina). Otherwise you will get a lot of turnovers early on in the match, but your players will get tired and so the other team will get a huge advantage.

So what's the main factor in a successful FCP? Is it all OD?

i tested it this season against a center farm team, with OD 13/16/13/11/7 in the starting lineup and he makes only 25% more turnovers then usual ;) The main part is a handling/passing 1/1 player from the opponent^^
