I have a quick suggestion here. I think it would benifit the smaller nations.

If a player is purchaced from another country e.g. An Irish team buying a decent USA player who has $5500 salary.
After say, 2 seasons, if that player has still not played for his home national team, (USA which is unlikely as there are far more good players) Then he could be eligable for call-up by the Irish national team coach. This would be more realistic and give the smaller NTs a more realistic chance in a game.

Such things happen in football (soccer) and i think it would be a great addition to the game.

What is the general consenus on this?

I don't see a huge benefit to programming such a process.

It's probably more trouble than it's worth.

That would be a great, fun and realistic thing to add, but only if it is not too complicated for the programmers...

i see players with 10 different nationalities in the future ;)

In basketball there a domnestic player rule in basketball, there is only one player allowed who aren't from the nationality born ...

With the proposed to season period there will also trouble with the u21 teams, who first start in the nationalteams after 4 seaosn so that probadly teams who are out of competition start steling hot prospekt from foreign countries.
