Hey guys i have a question about training.
if you train say passing for the week for just PG
does every1 who plays at least 1 minute as a PG
gets training or only if u play 48mins in that position.
i am training guards at the moment and i am going to be
training jump shot next season, so i was hoping i could
put my power forward as a guard for a few mins a week and
than he will also pop in jump shot.
does this work???

Everyone who plays minutes at the position you decide to train will get some training. 48 minutes is full training. Anything less than 48 minutes is not ideal. Anything less than 48 minutes is an inefficient way of training. For example, if your PF played 35 minutes at PG, he would get significantly less training than if he had played the full 48 minutes (so I hear, and so I have experienced to an extent).

If it's in your power, get the full 48 minutes or don't get any at all. Definitely shoot for 48 minutes with your trainees.

From what i've read training works exponentially, so i would recommend trying to get the full 48+mins in the specific position. If you train him a few minutes a week at guard he will pop, but it will take a long time.
