Would it, or would it not be a great idea to introduce specialties to players such as Dunker, Ie someone who is more likely to go for dunks than the inside shot perhaps.
3 point shooter, someone who is more likely to go for the 3 than other players.
Perhaps a leader Specialty, Someone who could keep the team together and keep them calm in overtime and big games etc.
And a playmaker type player who would be the one making loads of assist etc.

I can't think of anymore right now but eventually these would be a cool addition (obviously they need to be better thought out first)

How would a 3 point shooter be different than somebody with good jumper range?

Solana say is before, a good jump range would make your 3p Shooter and good inside shot effects the amounts of dunks he made.

If the players got the specialities random, it will be curious to have draft for center position without a shot who got random, and if you give this specialiteis just incombination with the right skill it was some kind of similiar.

Well maybe not have a 3 point shooter but it would be interesting to have some kind of specialities. Perhaps though someone with a say strong jump range and a 3 point speciality would get like a 10% increase in range compared to a normal strong jump range guy. That's the kinda thing i mean really.

I really like this idea that there must be some specialities which would increase one or other skill by maybe 10%-20%... And those specialities would be given just for new drafts ant can`t be changed... that means that also center could be born with "3pointer" speciality , and what I mean thet those specialities would be given by random.

I don't like it, this skill would be implemented just like a talent in a special Skill(you train fast because everytraining gives him more power then an similiar player), but you already have various ways to produce a specialist but you could even train players who could do everything their needs(so the players are different already).

Or perhaps a speciality who make the training faster.

For example a Center with ' Free Throw " speciality should train FT 10% faster.
3 pts shooter, should raise in Range 10% faster.. etc..

that would make more sense, because the specialities give no salary bonus, like in this propose but the idea is pretty similiar.

And i still don't like it ;)

although i like the idea it is too much like HT and will hurt the TL as rmember we all only need to play 5 people then some subs. Everyone would want a 3pt guy a fast guy a stronger C etc...

i would prefer toknow how many skill-ups my trainer is able to generate over the course of a season and then as the manager choose when and where to allocate these to my team....
