I am curious if anyone can help me understand how I managed to win the following game: (26258878). I am obviously not complaining, but the game ratings seem to indicate that I should have lost. The one thing that sticks out to me in the box score is that I held a huge rebounding edge, particularly on the offensive end, even though I was only rated slightly better than my opponent. Thanks in advance for any help!

Perhaps you had a lot more enthusiasm than him? Perhaps your players were in better gameshape?
You smashed him in rebounds which allowed you a lot of second chances at making a goal which makes a huge difference.
And maybe you just got a little lucky too.

He had the edge on game shape. Enthusiasm was a wash since it was the first game out of the all star break so we were both likely around 5-6.

I agree that the rebounding was the difference, but just wondered how the heck I got such an edge (other than luck!).

In addition to what he said, I'm pretty sure better game ratings aren't a perfect representation of who won/should have won any given game. There is still some random variation. So while you might have lost 9 out of 10 games, this game turned out to be that 10th game. Of course I could be wrong that there's some luck involved, and if I am, then someone correct me and everybody else forget this post was ever created.
