This donkey PG of mine (14818791) ruined my perfect season on TIE. He went 1-16 in the last game (26439739). 1-16! When he's got average shooting. And this when my SG is a sensational shooter and was shooting over 60% on the night. What gives?? Even in the player ratings it shows that he's got the worst matchup.

In a previous game when I played him at SG he went 5-19 which I can accept because he's playing as a shooter. But why take 16 shots when playing the point and all other players are shooting it better? The guy's got strong passing/handling/driving. Why doesn't he just pass the damn ball? I don't care if he gets an assist or not, just that he not take so many bad shots. Annoying retard ruined my perfect record.

If you want to get your PG to pass more or get better looks

- try inside focused tactics
- try slow-paced tactics
- consider that his driving increases the odds of him taking a shot.

Now of yourse this is quite extreme an example of a shooting slump, but consider that he had 9 Assists, so it's not like he didn't share the ball.

He is a crappy PG that's why:D He has no exp, he can't shoot (so when the ball get's stuck in his hand when the shot clock is expireing, he will shoot a brick).

I watched most of the game and he was taking shots with 12 left on the clock. Maybe because I played push the ball, but still..if he's not a shooter he should pass first. Even if he doesn't get an assist, he should let the better scorers take over the offence. I shouldn't have to play an inside oriented or slow paced offence just to get a tolerable performance out of my PG. I will keep the driving in check for future training though I can't figure out why it means that my PG will drive and pull-up more than drive and dish.

The lack of experience must have been a factor but I've seen PGs with proficient experience shooting 35% when multiple other starters on their team should around 50. Seems like the coach doesn't run enough one on one plays for the better scorers.

Anyway, I shouldn't have started him in that game, should have known he'd mess up the offence. I don't know how people create good PGs, if they're going to play so poorly as rookies. Its tough to give them minutes other than in scrimmages.

Thats why you play the rookies only in scrimmages. I have been playing my rookie from last year for 48 minutes in all my scrimmages to get his skills up so that I can eventually play him in league games next year. In my opinion league games are to valuable to have your rookie or not as skilled player play a major role in them. That is why scrimmages are a valuable tool in the game.
