Example....
If I have a good tall power forward naturally but I play him at center and train him there will he ever become a center??
What affect does the prefered position have on a player???

Yes they will change from time to time when their skills dictate it.

The only impact is on salary calculation, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the individual.

Each position has a different $ value for each skill.
The "best position" is nothing more than the position at which his salary is highest.

So I have a question kinda bouncing off of this one.

For the upcoming draft I have a one star scouted 6 11" PG which seems weird to me could this be that he is actually better at another position?

This means his current skills are best suited to being a PG. But because he is so tall he could only really have big man training. It could actually be a good thing because he could be a good PF candidate. It can be a hassle training guard skills on a big man so in this case seeing he already has good guard skills you can just train his big man skills. Although if his big man skills are really bad he might not be worth training at all.
