Hi... just a thought.. would be interesting to know how we all compare against one another.... the more established teams in season 3 vs the up coming wannabes...any suggestions for tracking such a thing...

I guess at the moment the only way is via PL games... what do people think of building a database and then having a formula that determines whether you move up or down a global ladder. I would imagine in most instances people field their 'best' line up and so the results would tend to be what we would expect in a competitive game.

What if we were to assign each other a ranking or base amount of points and then all we neec is a formula to calculate how many points you would win or lose based on playing / not playing a match..

as i said.. very early stages of an idea.. what are other peoples thoughts...

or is there a way that BB can make a global club ranking table?

Great idea.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

it wouldn't hurt to put a few ideas out there. i'm sure players can come to some sort of consensus.

I like the idea a lot. Maybe there could be 2 rankings? 1 for your country and 1 for the entire world?

Has the formula for ranking NTs been released? That formula could be used for clubs as well.

The algorithm we use is called Glicko-2 and is similar to the systems used by Baseball Prospectus and by the US Chess Federation. If you're interested in the gory details, click here, but the math might be scary. Don't complain that we didn't warn you.

Go to rules
-> national teams
-> last paragraph

well, i think it is fair to say that a thread with lots of different opinions isnt going to be half as complex as the formula needed....

so why dont we kick start a ladder and then we all have to abide to the formula set out for us...

it seems like a potentially great supporter feature in combination with PLgames with non-supporters maybe gaining somewhat more limited access if you opted to allow them to play qualifying scrimmages when they were knocked out of their cup..
