Do players tire from game to game, or only within games?

I had a 2 OT game so some of my players racked up quite a few minutes. I have a scrimmage on Thursday and a 2nd game of the playoffs on Saturday.

What is the best way to let my 3rd string play the entire scrimmage (or at least until they foul out)? Can I just set an 8-player roster? Any problems with doing that?

above 90 minutes playing time within a week will hurt their "practice this week" which is considered to be form.

to play your backups and reserves. just put them as starters and backups and repeat their names throughout the depth chart in logical positions.

What does the dotted line mean in my weekly player stats? Does it mean that the players above the line have played too much and should be rested, or a warning that they might get tired?

It means he is above 48 minutes played which is the optimal amount for training. Going over 48 mins isn't a big deal unless you are way over. Too high and practice this week will suffer...I have reached 90 mins many times and my Practice this Week is still strong.

Players should ideally get 48 minutes per week, or one full game, in order to get the maximum benefit from their training. If they play more than 48 minutes, this is not a problem. If players play under 48 minutes, they will still improve, but less quickly than they would if they got more playing time.
